I was wondering if there was a list somewhere of 28mm Cthulhu miniatures manufacturers? Or a list of suitable proxies such as Clix figures etc. I'm dabbling in Cthulhu gaming and think something like this would be useful to newcomers. Perhaps make this thread a sticky?
Thanks in advance.

What sort of figures are you thinking of, Agent Brown? If it's monsters that's one thing (though you can proxy lots of things like Ghouls or use Lizard Men as Deep Ones, for instance); if it's investigators that's another ball game. Loads of manufacturers do 1920s-1930s figures, from 'Gangsters and Molls' to 'Pulp Adventurers'.
A really good resource for this period is:
http://www.btinternet.com/~jprice9/minis.html
It says it's for VBCW (ie, Britain in the 1930s) but almost every company producing minis for the period 1900-1940 is there. There are hundreds of potential figures for investigators, cultists, local law-enforcement, meatshields, red herrings, hostages, casualties and other complications...

Personally I'm just after monsters as I'm thinking of dark age/medieval settings but I'm sure that link would be useful to others.

I think that RAFM still has the largest selection of creatures, but a lot of other companies seem to be producing them these days as well:

(Scroll past the 3-stage investigators to find the gribblies).

The old Grenadier Cthulhu range is now produced by Mirliton and available from Miniature Heroes in the UK

D'oh!
There I was thinking I was being helpful, instead of muddying the waters.
I'd be really interested in Early Medieval Cthulhu adventures - monks finding clues in old manuscripts leading to secret Roman temples of blasphemous gods and all that...

The lost minis wiki offers the following list

This is a rather complete overview.
I still have some Rafm monsters for trade : http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=31385.msg372388#msg372388

Dragonblood's Dark Mariners make excellent Deep Ones:

Have a look at the Fishmen showcase on Frothers as well:

White Knight has promised to do a Cthulhu showcase at some point.
EDIT: Eureka Miniatures do some nice cultists:

I love the Depths Creature by Fenryll:

Have a look on the "We is hunting Old Ones" thread here and you'll find various models from different manufacturers useful for Cthulhu

o.O... Why are there so much great stuff out there and not enuff money in my pockets :p

I did make a huge list on warseer, but it's likely incomplete since I last updated it (lack of interest, people want orcs and giger aliens) :
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291555
note : I purposely left out stuff like deep ones and anything humanoid. Real monsters don't need legs.

Mage Knight had Deep Spawn that I always assumed for Deep Ones, though I was planning on using them in ambush on Captain Nemo's men...

I've not seen the real things, but if I can trust the pictures, the board game Mansions of Madness has some interesting monster minis (not mentioning ultra cool lovercraftian artwork).
-
This mutant from Ramshackle would be at home in any Cthulhu scenario:

MIRLITON do them:

lol People really should read earlier posts before posting. ;D
-
Just saw some possible deep ones I've not heard of before, mentioned in the Gothic Horror forum.

If you can allow the expense, try to get hold of Fantasy Flight's boardgame Mansions of Madness. It includes plastic miniatures of cultists, monsters and investigators. They are very good quality too. Of course, you can use them for the boardgame too! :D
