Post by: Banderium on November 28, 2007, 10:30:29 AM
New Mirliton cow boys:

I've seen them saturday at the italian convention Dadi.com. They are tall and slender, and nice too!

Just a note: the price at the convention (17 euro) was higher than that of the site  :freak:

Sorry to be a bit difficult, but these are not new. They are a re- release of a set of figures that Grenadier minaitures sold back in the late 1980's - early 1990's.
At the time they were very tall in comparison to existing 25mm figures. But now they are perfectly sized for Artizan etc. I have the set and they are very good sculpts, they stand up well against most current sculptors.

My favourites are the gambler, the Mexican, the Clint Eastwood man with no name and the cowpoke in chaps in casual pose and the saloon girl. She paints up very well as a Salma Hayek, Mexican babe :D

I have those someplace about.  I got the old set in the 80s forgot them till now.  As you said I remember them as being rather large then maybe they will fit now.  Thanks for the memory jog

The gambler/sheriff is a lovely figure, but they all look to be very useful.

I hadn't seen these before, so thanks for posting!  :D

I have the old set. These look like they have been resculpted and recast. Several of them look slightly different from the earlier ones. I think they would be worth getting even though I have the earlier ones.
