Want to own one of these unique Frothers UK grandfather clock monsters? I happen to have one and decided to put it up as a prize in this first contest on my blog.
The contest is about taking the most atmospheric picture of an ongoing game, diorama or just a very cool setup of Strange Aeons that also features at least 1 original Uncle Mike's "Lurker" model.
The end date is 30th November, so two weeks from now. The winner will be picked by me and announced on my blog, the prize will be sent the day after.
Complete information about this competition can be found on my blog here:

Good luck :)

Great model, I would love to have one. I'll see if I can make a nice picture during some of the games tomorrow.
-
Nice to hear. Also, if you take part in the Strange Aeons brushoff you can also use those models for this compection, thus taking part in 2 at the same time :)
-
Alas, quite a few pictures, but none include Uncle Mike's miniatures.
-
Well, I thought I would support the game by at least having some sort of requirement but I knew that it would potentially limit the number of applicants. But I hope everyone taking part in the painting competition will make a double bet and enter in this one as well.
So far I've only received one entry (though it is a damn good one).
-
Only have miniatures sadly, not any boards yet. Maybe will try and trow something together in time if lucky.
-
Why not taking a picture of the models outside in the nature or something against a real backdrop? ;)
-
This is a good idea !
I participate to your contest !
-
What if you only have lurkers painted? :D
-
@ Cultist #3
If you have any kind of "Lurker" miniature from Uncle Mikes you can take part in the competition. That is the only requirement regarding the content :)
-
Can I enter? I've a few Strange Aeons figures ( ;))
-
@Mike, of course! :D
-
Just a reminder guys, 6 days to deadline. Everyone can enter. So far two very nice entries are in. If you have submitted something to my email and not received reply that means it didn't come through and bounced back or something. Sometimes my mail behaves oddly.
In that case let me know in this thread.
-
Could be fun - I'll se if I can put an entry together during this week. I won't win, but still... lol
-
Please do :), deadline tomorrow 23:59 GMT +1
-
Darn... I probably won't make it. Too much going on with open house at the school, christmas workshop in the school daycare and in the kindergarden... :-[
-
Having a heck of a time with my camera, hope this turns out ok.

If you want a grittier pic, try turning the flash off :)
-
Thanks for your entry Cultist#3 :)
I will be posting all the entries and pick a winner tomorrow, still about 8.5 hours until deadline.

The winner will also receive a couple of additional items that should go along with Strange Aeons gaming just fine.
-
Congrats to Michael, a very nice entry indeed.
-
And as I wrote on the blog, huge thanks to all who entered :)
-
Congratz Michael !
A pleasure to see this meet... ;D
-
I never win anything! What a great group of entries.
-
Wow, the winner's photo is just great. The warehouse alone would do it for me!

It's just an old Marx model repainted with some little posters glued on. It was one of the easiest models to paint. It is a great mold. Every pulpy city needs an abandoned factory . . .
-
Nice! :)
-
Congratulations!
@Oldben1: do you have a link? Couldn't find it on Google.
-
It's a Lionel s scale snap together factory. Apparently they used the old Marx mold. I bought mine at a flee market for 5 bucks. I would look for the o scale version without the stairs on the front. The doors on the s scale model are slightly small for 28mm pulp miniatures. There are more pictures on my flickr site. It is an awesome model to paint.

Here is the O scale model with the better door:

That's a cool building - very useful for as well inter-war as modern times! :)

Can't fault the winner...lovely piece of work and the movement in the plup figure sculpt totally makes it right in the action.

the true North strong and free! ;)
My toque is off to you sir! Great entry.
