I joined the forum just so I could comment on these :) The Thane with Tankard is beautiful. How many more sculpts are you planning?
There's a cult following of Ratnik Dwarf fans over at Bugman's Brewery, it was Blue in VT that brought all this to my attention.
I'm crossing my fingers that there will be a more reliable way for us UK fans to get hold of these?
If you are planning more, my vote goes for a Banner Bearer / King's Champion model. There's a desperate shortage of current, quality BSB models.
Really glad to see you sculpting Dwarfs again, these are genius!

Wants this to become true. Missed the opportunity getting some from Ursa Major. Paid for them and everything, but was just refunded, again :( The site still seems to be running, but no one answers my questions. Just an autoreply :( :(
Would be so fantastic if Alex could get these as well.

I'm very ashamed not posting/answering at Bugman's Brewery forum for so long time - i hoped that Bungle (URSA miniatures) will produce the whole 1st dwarf range. but he failed - i'v send models 2 him at april 2010 and since that time as i know he didn't cast them at all. last message that i received from him was at december 2010 - 1 year ago. so, at first i decided - ok, f..., but i must make new figures and produce them somehowe. cause i received a lot of messages by e-mails and by p.m. at several forums and receiving them now. people who wrote me asked: "how can i buy them? Ursa doesn't replie 2 us, what shall we do now? etc... ". so, new figures - ok. but (at second) some "old" figures from 2009-2010 will be relised too
I hope you can explain the situation 2 the whole dwarf's fan community

Thanks for the explanation Ratnik....please know that all us Dwarf heads love these new ones and are excited to see the line expand. But if you do figure out a way to re-release the 1st batch of figures there certainly is a market for them. (myself included)

The figures aren't available yet, it's just a preview, but next year as soon as Igor will send them to us and we will get them over to our caster.

Awesome, Igor - would find a wheelbarrow Dwarf that was more naked (meaning without sword/webbing) more useful, though ;)

Just in case you want to make a lot of people happy and are taking requests for future sculpts:
Female Dwarfs (Clan Nobles - Loooooooong intricate braids, fair of face, not so chubby, as well as Valkyrie types. Less flesh, more chain mail ;))
Dwarf Battle Priest/Cleric (Male and female would be super)
Wounded Dwarfs
Dwarf Rangers / Adventurers - think back packs with lots of rope, bear traps, spades etc. Very much like your miner above, but with a crossbow, hatchet and maybe a few hooded cloak variants? :-*
And as a personal request, I'd love to see your take on a Norse themed bezerker Dwarf :-*
You have a cult fanbase and if you fed our niche needs we'd love you more than we do now!

I am one of the lot from Bugmans that wanted to jump in and say how happy I am to hear of this new release. For that matter, I am also one of the sad sods that wasn't able to get Bungle to process an order either (and yes, I've emailed ratnik myself before too). Anyway, Ratnik -I think your sculpts are truly remarkable and I have coveted them since your 1st post on Bugmans when you unveiled the 1st figures of the dwarf line. Please try to get the 1st edition stuff cast -I'd buy many of them if it could happen.
I'll also echo what Alebelly said, you should consider a norse BSB thane -we really need one.

she bought some "pirate" made castings and decided that's enough for relising this figures in Germany

I am a big fan of dwarves, Ratnik, and I must say dwarves as a subject and your distinct and characterful sculpting style are a match made in heaven. I'll buy these fellows the minute they become available, and I am delighted to hear that the previous ill-fated range are going to have a new lease on life. Keep it up!!
Between these figures and the beautiful Renaissance-themed figures White Knight is commissioning (and generously making available for us to buy), it is a grand time to be a dwarf collector.

Battle Priests:
Male - your own Dwarven take on a chain clad, huge hammer or dual weilding hammer/mace, teeth nashing, flame branding zealot! Covered in relic symbols, a locked holy text, and a heavy, fur rimmed cape. A fire and brimstone "bring the fight to the darkness" type.
Female - a Dwarven valkyrie type, girdle, breastplate, no Manga-esque flesh peaking through or huge cleavage on show. Think youthful, determined Dwarf, chain skirts and ornate breastplate, intricate long braids. Dwarf build, but fair or face. WAR (the MMO) did a pretty good job of the balance between squat proportions and still looking female.
Civillian Priests / Clerics:
Male - I think your current model is near enough spot on.
Female - I'd like to see the version above but out of her armour and in more ceremonial, cloth garb. Maybe the odd beer barrel and/or mug of ale (let's assume she worships a brewing and fertility goddess, she is a Dwarf afterall!)
...that's if you do wishlisting ofc! ;)

Yeah I have a beta copy...and its very cool fast paced and quick to learn. Much more free form than Mordhiem...which I like.

Very nice, getting better the more stuff you do. Love these little extras like pans and lamps. Better than al the sword and axe-stuff.

Dwarf pilots and vehicle crew perhaps? That would really be useful for conversions, etc. I'm currently scratch building a couple of dwarf half tracks and I would love to get my fingers on drivers, gunners, etc... just a thought

Nce and the scale pic help too, but can someone tell me how big the GW dawrves are compared to 1980s citadel dwarves (I ask because I picked up a GW halfling and it was almost dwarf size, so have the dwarves gotten bigger too?)
