Title: 28mm Jet Pilots?
Post by: celtoslegion on December 10, 2007, 09:30:06 PM
I'm looking for some Pilot figures for my Spaceport / Military base table.

I think Eureka has a 'nam Helicopter crew, but I thought more of Jet Pilots or Space Jockeys.

Are there any minis out there in 28mm?

Thanks for your help!

I recall that there is a downed jet pilot figure that is given out as a freebie with one of the TAG Vietnam sets.  You can sometimes buy it singly at conventions.

Thanks for the links.

Fine mins - I'll see if I can use them for my table.

I think this one will suit your target well (http://www.wizards.com/swminis/swm/rs/rebel_pilot.jpg) It's from the star wars miniature game and this one is pretty common and shouldn't be to difficult to find on ebay

Actually, this one was my first thought, as the mini doesn't look too bad for pre-painted and you can get one for about 1€ on ebay.

Does anyone know what plastic the SW minis are made off? Is it the regular plastic or the 'bendy' stuff, the HorrorClix minis are made off?

They are pretty bendy I have about 15 of them but for me to ship them will be too expensive so you better check ebay. I really don't care the bendy state they are in because this way I can throw them around and the paint stays attached 8)

I knew, the bendy stuff had its merits :)

Well, the ebay guys usually charge me between 4-5 EUR flat for shipping.

If you can beat this, I'd rather do business with you.

PM me, if you are interested in selling or trading.

Just received the Pilots from Onimusha - Thanks mate for the smooth deal!

I'm positively surprised. The casting and paintjob is better than I expected. The bendy plastic is a bit of a hassle, but otherwise the minis are OK.

They make a good addition to my spaceprot table.

You're welcome and the zombie grunts in return will fill my zombie horde very well. ( I'll use them as some experiment on human warrirors gone wrong zombie).
The pilot can be easily addapted since I have a lot of them I cut of different arms in different angles and repositioned them so they don't look like clones
