Title: RCW Sailors ? what to do

I have just had these painted by Marco From Rif Raf

apart from finishing the bases with various material.
i need to paint a flag ? so i will pick one out of this list

do i paint eyes or not ?
and anything you think i have missed

ps he has painted another 7 units which i will put up when i have this unit finished.

I think they look very nice. Eyes or not... They are fine like that. Noone will miss them.

That is an awesome start to an RCW force.

As for eyes or not, eyes are one of those dividing lines. A lot of people hate 'em, a lot of people think they're absolutely necessary. Personally, I usually do eyes only on character figures. A few of my RCW soldiers have eyes, most of the officers will once finished, but I'm not going to drive myself nuts doing eyes on every single damn one of them.

I'd misplaced the link to that collection of RCW flags, so thank you for reposting it! My Reds currently have a plain red flag, which is generic and plausible but boring. A slogan of some sort will eventually be going on it, I promise. Judging by the sample at that flag website, you could put just about any Bolshevik slogan on a flag and somebody, somewhere would have done so in reality!

Similarly, my Whites just have a generic national Russian tricolour right now. I do have a second standard bearer for each force that will wave something less generic, as well. I might even get organized and see about doing a couple of interchangeable banners for them.

A very tidy bunch of revolutionaries!

That sailor at the front with the buttoned up jacket and turned up collar is one of my favourite sculpts at the moment.
