Lana Sator is a young lady who lives in the vicinity of Moscow and decided to sneak onto the premises of the NPO Energomash rocket factory-an active rocket factory that produces rockets for the Russian space program and for the Russian military. She took loads of pictures of the experience and has placed them on her blog. I found the pics really atmospheric and impressive-it's hard to imagine this place is an active industrial site, as it looks so ramshackle, abandoned, and creepy. I thought many of the pics very inspirational for terrain design and thought I would share them here:

Look now if you are interested, as the Russian government is steamed that she snuck onto a sensitive (albeit unguarded) weapons-making facility and photographed the whole thing, and they want the pictures down badly.
Here are some of my favorites(but there are many more pics on the blog):

Thanx much for postin'.

Definitely some beautiful photos she took, very impressive.

Beautiful.
I hope she doesn't get any problems doing that. Most countries don't take kind to people that photograph military installations.

Nice, thanks for posting!

Real life Necromunda right there. Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for posting this!
Beautiful pics, equally impressive and disturbing (To think that the machines that sent/send satellites and kosmonauts into space are built in such a seeming "junkyard").

Holy smoke-ski! Those are very cool.
