Lets hope 2012 will give us some more post apoc and steampunk goodies:D
-
Well, some coming German marines for the Post-Apoc range.

-
oh yeah! ;D
thats what i mean!
thanks Prof
is the 2nd weapon to the left gun a g3?
-
Brilliant!
Seems my wishes will come to reality. I can realise a Twilight 2013-Project...
-
Oh my...
Consider my order placed.
-
Great! I like the poses!
-
Wow, those are nice!
-
Very Nice Sir! :o
-
They look great - nice posing and excellent sculpting, but I'm just not sure how PA they feel. Then again, much the same can be said about uniformed regulars in any Pa setting....
-
wonderful pieces.... you're making a great job, prof!
-
Great figures!
Very good poses, hopefully there will be also one pack with helmets ;)
Regards
Von Moltke
-
It depends on how they are painted TBH. They shall be my first LAM purchase if/when released
-
Very nice indeed... Lovely poses and crisp sculpting. The only element I am not sure about are the faces. Looking forward to seeing them painted.

Actually army regulars have much better chances to survive in a post-apocalyptic world then civilians so I don’t think we’re completely wrong with them.
Our PA range is still growing and our intention is to give you miniatures for several post-apoc settings, also including uniformed regulars. It would be just too boring to make only ragged ones :)
-
Good points Prof :D - I had always assumed that military personel would have a higher chance of survival after the 'End', so it isn't that which is the 'issue' for me, but the level of uniformity (One reason I try to find some scruffier/more ragged types for my games). Then again, as you say, there are a wide range of possible apocalypses, and also time frames - with gear being less ragged earlier rather than later. Afterall, I doubt the day after the 'End' everyone will look like refugees from Mad Max2 or the copplestone scavenger line!
Don't get me wrong, they are lovely figures (well sculpted and posed), and I look forward to seeing what else you produce in a similar line for my ultra-modern collection, if not my post apoc one ;) )
-
Don't get me wrong
No worries, I didn’t. And I agree it’s up to the stage of the post-apocalyptic world, at the beginning it’s more ultra-modern and it would need several decades or more to get it to the stage of Mad Max. It would be great to cover all the possibilities with our range one day. But at the moment it remains to be seen, it’s all up to the sales.

Not that it matter but out of curiosity, are there currently marines in the Bundeswehr?

Awesome stuff! To specify, are those guys "Kampfschwimmer"? If so, I think those are more of the special forces variety, like the now defunct "USMC Force Recon", rather than the "standard" Marine type.
But I really, really like the figures, and they would be perfect for scenarios à la "infiltrate St. Petersburg from your fuel-cell powered stealth sub to rescue/assassinate Zar Putin I."...
As for Special Forces types in dystopic/postapocalyptic settings, I think Snake Plissken himself fought in Leningrad. ;)

I heard he was dead... :D

yep, they are Kampfschwimmer, indeed.

Really, not KSK???

definitely not.

Snake will never die.
-
Awww, shit. I'm gonna have to cough up bucks for these for sure.
-
;D
Guess I have to order ... muhahaha.
Apart from the Marine discussion that i will not participate in. Are those heads going to be available seperately too? I think there would be quite a few people interested.
Anyways, even if not, I will order. Love their look.

No, the heads won't be available separately.
-
Doesn't matter, I want a pack or two anyway. Thanks for the answer Prof.

I am so in love with the G-36. :-* :-* :-* Prof, will these be a four man set, or are there more coming? Fantastic!
-
We will release this pack and another one (something different but also Bundeswehr). Actually I would love to make more for the Bundeswehr and similar things but as usual it's up to the sales.
-
Yep, totally get where you're going with sales.
If I didn't have 30 Landsknecht already sitting, unpainted, on my shelf, I'd grab the Bruegelburg boys. But I don't have Bundswehr marines on that shelf.... ;)
I will definitely pick these up from you when they release.
-
Very nice figures!

Actually, the thought of a Twilight 2000-ish gaming project updated to 2013 is a brilliant idea!
Keep me posted if you pursue it please.

I agree. In an anarchistic world, the military vets will keep it running longer than anyone, IMO. I think these are spot on.
-
Prof, do you guys have a tentative release date?

Belated Happy New Year - yes let us hope that, and that 2012 will give us the first Treasure Island Miniatures as well :D
Please say yes, Prof. ::)
EDIT: Oh! - and more Wonderland's too
-
:o :o :o
That was some realy nice miniatures...
Damn I think I just have to get me a new rulesystem to match those miniatures, or I could atleast paint these just for the fun of it.
Realy nice miniatures.
-

They are so much better than I expected!
-
Prof, do you guys have a U.S. distributor?
-
Prof, do you guys have a U.S. distributor?
No distributor but retailer:
http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/lead-adventure
-
I live in the U.S.
Personally, when the time comes (and it will :) )
I'm just going to order straight from the source so I can get a complete list of everything that's available.
Wonderful minis!
-
I'm in the US and have ordered direct. Had a SNAFU but it was resolved quickly, so I have no qualms on ordering again just as soon as these are available.
-
Dentatus,
That's good news! I figured everything would be fine but that just confirmed it!
-
Now that that's settled, what else will be released with these lads?
I mean if I'm gonna order, it should be for more than a single pack, right?
-
....the now defunct "USMC Force Recon"
They are still quite operational.
-
Really like those German marines, great for current, future war, zed stuff and post apoc. I most useful commision Alex nice one.
-
so any other realeases coming?
a post apoc buggy type vehicle would be cool aswell

But no vehicles.

(not yet ;) )
-
Pretty Badass Prof! 8)
The apocalypse ALWAYS needs special forces. (Well at least mine always do. Yours may not. But still they are awesome ;) )
-
Damn, I would love to see more germans! ::)
Maybe some more ratty looking regulars, with a mix of G3s and G36s, along with normal german civilens. I know its bad, but I wouldn't mind seeing a group of jaegers in a mix of normal and traditional garb lol
-
Yes, more Germans, modern Bundeswehr types.
-
More Bundeswehr regulars would be great ;)
To motivate Alex to do some additional packs, we have only to buy many of the SEK M (Spezialisierte Einsatzkommando Marine)...the Kampfschwimmer and Minentaucher ;)
I would like to see regulars in Helmets, for example, one in the clasic tabletop pose firing MG3 from hip , one with panzerfaust 3 and one NCO with MP7.
Because there are no 28 mm modern Bundeswehr Figures in the miniatures market , only the 25 mm Eureka figures avaible, there may be a gap for such figures.
Usefull for many different rules systems and times ranges.
Regards
Von Moltke
-
Gasmask option please! ;)
-
I suggest separable heads with options for helmet, gasmask, floppy hat, maybe even no hat but showing a radio headset.
I would like the option to make Soldaten in Afghanistan with floppy hats or Europe with helmets or post-apocalyptic with gasmask.
