Latest sets - German Mortars and some infantry. These are the last Playwar figs I have! (the two infantry figs).
Are they still going? - I hope so.

Great looking figures.
It is said that 3/4 of all US casuaities in Normandy were caused by the German mortars.

I can believe that.
We took a veteran of 1940, from the Northumberland Fusiliers over for the anniversary year before last, and he said that when they set up their Vickers, the Germans drove mortar teams up in m/c combos and starting mortaring them. The Vickers had a very distinctive signature. I am sure this is why British MG coys included mortars of their own to counter this.
Thanks for the compliment by the way.

You are very kind - thanks
Unfortunately that set is somewhere over the Atlantic now on its way to Iowa.
I did a zoom/crop on him (should be Ok as it was a high res shot).
