Title: Brutal Legend?
Post by: MajorTalon on January 17, 2012, 03:22:01 AM
I'm probably asking a stupid question, but is there a company that makes minis or rules for a Brutal Legend-like setting?

Demonblade used to make some licensed minis based on the band GWAR.

Copplestone and em4 have post-apocalyptic/near future rockers.

GW's WH40K fluff includes "noise marines" with guitars, amps etc for their Chaos Space Marines.

Ral Partha (I think) made a skeleton rock band called the Ungrateful Dead.

Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?

I've always considered Heresy miniatures to have a bit of heavy metal spirit behind them, especially some of the demons, and muscle bound barbarians, like Man O War album covers lol

You can find a TON of different metal band minis that would fit in this setting.
An orc band exists and is available from Impact Miniatures, I know Megaminis produces some aliens with instruments (including what looks like Cthulhu/zoidburg screaming into a mic) and a bunch of others.
Good luck on this, I'd be overjoyed to see this kind of setting done in mini form.
Especially if you keep Jack Black in it.  :D

Hmmm. That is a lot of food for thought. I especially like the idea of GWAR minis, i would just have to find minis of celebrities for them to destroy mid-game. ;D While I hate to say it, GW might be the way I have to go for this. I could possibly use daemonettes to mae Tainted Coil nuns. :D
