I've got already Foundry Ancient German crying woman pack and BTD civilians one.
Any more ideas?

Got also these Westwind but not sure if they work for Anicent, the most of them are looking more medieval to me.

Gripping Beast?

yes, thanks, Lowtardog already posted the link to them, they look interesting, though probably not very compatible with Foundry girls, due to big heads.

Sycorax and Babastus from Gorgon Studios… too Celtic?

can't recognize much of the first guy, is he praying?
the second one with the antlers is definitely too Celtic.
-
The first one is a semi-naked witch crawling, wearing a fur cloak. I'm not too au fait with Ancient Germania. I had a feeling they might be too Cetlic-y!
Ah, well. I tried! ;)
-
thank you, appreciated :)

Those Nordvolk are very nice figures, but that are too late for what you want (and HUGE to boot).

Wouldn't the warlord games plastic celts be a good base for converting some up? Replace some of the weapons by various tools or other civilian objects, perhaps a little greenstuff for some repositioning,...

Well, will check them as soon as I will get home. Can't open the Warlord store due to firewall.

If my memory is correct, most of them are barechested or unarmoured. If you don't want a whole box, I could probably spare you some out of the box I bought a couple years ago for conversion purposes when Northstar had them at half price.

Thank you, WK, I will get back to you as soon as I have seen them!

Checked them, not sure, looks too much action?
but found these girls, they are absolutely the cream of the crop!

If you can find them anywhere there are a few miniatures by the Perry's for the Bronze Age Range they did for Foundry, a middle aged woman, a young girl and a travelling smith/metal worker and they would fit in fine
-
What make are they?
Look good for the rioting figures I have been collecting for Vox Populi (if the rules ever emerge!).

I remember there was also a Foundry pack of Thracian women that wouldn't be too complicated to convert. (one or two are wearing that thracian smurf hats, iirc)

Those are absolutely lovely figures. So full of character and natural animation. I have absolutely no use for them at all, but I think I might have to buy some just to paint them :)
Warlord Games really are an enigma.
They seem intent on churning out a continual stream of new releases in quantity, rather than worrying too much about the quality. These Celtic (or Germanic!) women are superb. But the current Greek stuff they're releasing under the same 'Hail Caesar' banner, bears absolutely no relation to these at all, in either figure style or sculpting quality.
Very peculiar... ::)

I'd suggest that was because they have bought most of the Greeks in from Immortal Miniatures. But there are certainly wide variations in quality across their own-initiated ranges.

had yesterday the same idea as well :) I've got the Thracians woman and one of them is already on my painting desk, ready for conversion.

I just stumbled on these Crusader Miniatures' Irish civilians!

these are nice!

Black Tree do some Viking civilian types which could be used without too much hassle :)
