Title: One horizontal scroll bar per image or image scaling?
Post by: WuZhuiQiu on February 10, 2012, 03:18:02 AM
I was trying to read airbornegrove2's wonderful account, but gave up because the sideways displacement of the entire stack of images in his post was controlled by a single horizontal scroll bar at the bottom.

That makes for a lot of scrolling up and down between reading one side of a frame and finding the horizontal scroll bar to shift it sideways!

Would it be feasible to code either one horizontal scroll bar per image, or some kind of image scaling, so that sideways scrolling is unnecessary?

Thanks!

Actually forum software does scale pics size to the width of 800px. And that thread looks fine to me when I'm reading it.

What is your screen resolution? And what browser are you using?

Hi, 1024x768, and IE 8.

IE8 should work but your screen resolution of1024px  is a bit low, the pics are 800px, so there are only 224 px for the rest. I would suggest either switch to screen resolution of 1280x1024 or switch off the left sidebar of the forum clicking on the button right of LOGOUT on the top menu of the forum (see the attachment pic)
