Hello,
does anyone know what uniforms were worn by the briefly independent countries of (Democratic Republics) Armenia , Azerbaijan and Georgia 1918-21 ?
I've been told that the Russian TSEIKHGAUZ magazine issue 40-41 had some illusttations of the Azerbaijan army, but i haven't seen them.
Can anyone post them ?
Pete.

While recently researching the events in Baku 1918 I found that the IWM site had a good selctoin of photos of the troops of the Central Caspian Dictatorship.

Hello,
i agree with Joroas, no matter how obscure the query , someone always replies . Great links everyone.
I have a question , is there any information , uniform illustrations or
photos of the armies of the Democratic Republics of Georgia and Armenia ?

The war in the Caucasus theater of operations is outside the scope of my keen interest, so the information I have is not very much.
I can offer a section on the Georgian army from the book Deryabin "The Civil War in Russia 1917 - 1922. National Army."
An illustration from the book, depicting a Georgian soldier, you can see above - in a message from Prof.Witchheimer. This is a soldier in a white tunic Russian sample.
But it will be digitized text in Russian - to translate it yourself you will need a translator of Google.
This option suits you?
In the Armenian army, I still have nothing, except for those pictures, a link to that given above.
