Title: Lab interior
Post by: Zafarelli on January 06, 2008, 04:43:42 PM
Some pictures of my latest project, fairly complete by now:

The operating table needs some more work, I intend to add some straps to hold down the unfortunate guniea pig, as well as some cables to the bottom. And the R2D2-like instrument racks next to it need some more detailing as well, to be done this evening.

Two shots of the completed stuff so far, in different arrangements:

Thanks, guys :)

Grimm, planning a bit ahead, are we? Tactica 2008 is still in the future, and you are already thinking of 2009? Come to think of if, Vikotnik and I have some vague plans for DoOrDice 2009 as well, so I might as well shut up

No mad, evil genius would be caught dead without such a fantastic set-up.

The other mad scientists would just laugh at him if he didn't have it.

Great stuff!

A great set of terrain and it could be used for all sorts of things, firs tthat sprung to mind are the items on the bench infront of the goon, they reminded me a radio room from Where Eagles dare

Started painting:

I painted them to match Vikotnik's Guniea Pig miniatures (which will take part in the the game the lab is intended for, anyway), hence all the blood and rust.

Now, can anyone give me an idea what to do with those monitors, and the spiky, nondescript machines...? I feel completely unimaginative, but honestly I don't know how to paint them.

Oh, and I am busy editing the pictures for the webshop, so expect them to released soon!

Cheers,

Jens

The round monitors should be green with the frequency lines in them.

The squarish ones should just be static (obviously someone has knocked them out).

Rich, as far as I know the scenery is painted for a ruined and deserted old asylum. They have no electricity ....didididididididididididi

I wanted to paint the large monitor with a broken tube, but my wife objected to me smashing our TV for reference

All the more reason for the monitors to suddenly click back on. How scary would that be.

Have some more stuff ready, and would love to post pictures, but my website seems to be down  I hope the tech people will sort this out sometime today. No emails, either. I hate it when that happens :freak:

Does it look like your cellar at home? Or is this the department where you  handle complaints of your customers in a rather personal manner?

"You still have any complaints about my stuff?"
*rattle of chains*
"No, ...master!"

Excellent stuff indeed! The miniatures are a nice addition to the laboratory.

I love the examination table. Do you have even more stuff coming for the lab or is this the stopping point for now?

Dominic, seemed to be a small aftershock, everything should work again now. Let's hope it will stay that way...

Audrey, I want to build an asylum. Next will be the dorm, an office, a common room and an office. If you have any more suggestions for the lab, I am listening :-) I just watched 12 Monkeys again for a bit of inspiration.

Trencher, yes, this is my workshop. I cleaned it up a bit for the picture. The three guys are me, the picture was taken by my fourth personality. 8)

A couple of things that you might consider are:

A pole for hanging blood/saline bags from

Anaesthnetists chair and oxygen cylinders which sit at the head of the trolley

Surgical instrument trolly for scalpels, etc
