*****Sorry for the previous techincal difficulties.
Spent all night getting the 6th legion ready for battle, with the centurions breathing down my neck. Shield making complete.
Now for some teaser pics. Hopefully have them done by the end of the week.

Pic link doesn't work for me.

Good looking figures.
I love Romans with chainmail.
Look forward to seeing more.

Nice work! Who makes those legionaires?

Foundry Caesarian Romans
Very nice stuff, Tom, great shields, keep it going!
-
Yes, indeed, awesome legionnaires with very nice shields!
But I think we are going to need a few more pics... just to be sure. ;)
-
Thanks guys, will have more pics this week, or early next week. Just need to flock bases, and touch up the shields. The legions of Spain have been growing fat and restless this winter, and are chomping at the bit for campaign season!

The 6th Legion is complete, and ready to take the field.

Here we have it's leader- Vitus Terantus Apollonius- Young and charismatic. Govenor of Spain, helped to control province with the help of his friend and cavalry commander Strabo Septonius Arcus.

First Centurion Titus Balventius- A rough thick set Spaniard who has seen many a battlefield, and leads his century with a sure and steady hand.

Newly promoted Centurion Varga leads the second century. He is somewhat reckless trying to prove himself to his commander and his new command.

The cruel disciplinarian Centurion Barcus who leads the third century with an iron grip of his vine staff.

The Spanish cavalry lead by Strabo Septonius Arcus, Terantus' best friend.

Lastly the Batavian cavalry lead by the fierce Albewsius who has a habit of presenting Terantus with enemy heads.

They have style, well done!
What rules? Impetus?
-
:-*
I like them a lot!
The shield base color is quite unique but very cool.
-
Prof not sure on rules as of yet. Probably a homebrew mix of T&T, fire and fury, and hail caesar.
-
Good choice of base colours to help those distinctive shields stand out all the more.

I have bought Hail Caesar last week too. Currently reading. Interesting concept and the pics are a great inspiration. Definitely worth some euros.

Excellent figures.
Look forward to seeing them in battle.

Great looking legion and the character notes help them alive.
Is the cavalry commander from Foundry as well? I really like his pose.

It is an oop Amazon mini sculpted by Copplestone for their El Cid range.

Noticed that as well, a great sculpt by the way, great idea to use it for this project. Now going to think about an ancient using of mine.

Pitty its OOP - I really liked the pose.
