OMG... :o
-
Toughest decision yet! Great work from both!!
-
Slaughterfest at the big names ???
-
Oh my what a match up. 2 big hitters slugging it out. Great entries both.
-
OMG... :o
What he said!
-
Tough call; into the Wild just edges it for me for overall consistency, where with Snow White the Dwarves seem much stronger than SW herself in terms of flesh tones etc.
Still and all, 2 great entries.
-
Greetings
Ouch. This one is a toughie.
But boy...can both of you paint.
Jo
-
OMG... :o
+1 o_o
-
Would love to know what make Frank's figures are. Great work from both painters.
-
Hells bells thats a tough lineup!
-
Frank has a wonderful eye for composition. And great, crisp colors. Absolutely gogeous.
However, I like the subtle coloring and blending a little better (and we are talking a very, very little).
But hats off to you, gentlemen. This is really the clash of the titans, so to speak.
-
Very difficult this one but Snow White just pipped the post for me. Possibly the neatest Snow White take I have seen :)
-
These were both excellent entries. I usually do not comment but vote, but this needed a comment.
-
Tough call!
-
I agree with all the above who said this IS a tough decision. Both are excelent.
-
Amazingly crisp and smooth painting Chambers, it takes some real courage showing detailed figures up close like you do- everything is out there to see and you have the skill to pull it off :) That grumpy white haired dwarf behind SW is fantastic!
Great painting and setting Frank, nice work as we would expect :) I have to ask though- are the designs on the center of the flags decals? That text is pretty tight. If they are decals you did a splendid job integrating them into the paintwork.
-
though Franks entry is very amazing (as usual ^^) ... for me the team's name with the combination of these minis made the call!
Snow-White ... looking like this, I guess, the discussion with her stepmother about the apple will be much different than usual: "Dodge this, StepMa!" lol
best wishes
Drachenklinge
-
Yowsa! :o
-
Let "Metal Combat" Begin! (cues up Mortal Combat)
Both simply amazing stuff and a tough call!
-
Dificult choice...
but honestly I like the dwarfs's details...
-
Inspirational work from both as always.
-
OMG... :o
Yeah Like what he said
-
What an incredible match-up! No wonder the voting is so close - these two entries are superb!
-
Wow......... VERY difficult!!!!!! Some other decisions are tough but this is the toughest call yet!
-
Wow, two awesome entries, guys! :o Tough choice.
-
Frank that drummer looks like my old boss, scary bugger! 5ex marine too) (opps that was an open bracket on a euroepan key board, so it's ex not 5ex!)
-
Tough, tough call to make!!!
Both are beautifully painted...
P.S.: Where did the mini's for Snow White & co come from?
-
Hard to pick one.
Both outstanding.
-
What a match-up. Both flawless. :o :-*
-
Outstanding entries, I took an age to decide
-
Such a hard choice. Very hard pressed to decide. The twist on the idea of SW and the Dwarves and its execution are both brilliant, as are those redcoats. So torn ...
-
Great scene and paint job Frank. I am always impressed with you skill of painting a 3d picture.
P.S.: Where did the mini's for Snow White & co come from?
All of the miniatures are from Redbox.
Vote early and vote often. lol
-
That was hard to decide! Great entries :o
-
Arrrgh! This one will be tough... :o
What a beautiful bunch of dwarfs and a really enterprising topic. Good luck with your contribution Chambers!!!
-
A very tough decision indeed, both entries are fantastic!
I do however have one niggle and I hope it's ok to post about it. Digital alteration of pictures is quite expressly forbidden in this League and the grass in front of the soldiers in the second entry seems to have benefited from little magical touch up here and there. Other than that the entry is fantastic as always: great painting, excellent scenery and a very colourful entry on the whole!

I don't see any obvious evidence of that- Frank has done base Photoshopping in quite a few of his other pics, to integrate the figures into the scene, but the bases on this picture look like they're simply hidden behind a short rise in the foreground. I may be wrong of course :)
-
but the bases on this picture look like they're simply hidden behind a short rise in the foreground.
Quite what I'm seeing too. The bases are simply hidden.
-
This is exciting 8) Excellent work, I couldn't split them. I voted for Chambers because I usually always vote for Frank, perverse but at the time it seemed fair :D
If you lose by one vote Frank, it's my fault, sorry ;)
-
Lovely work both :-* Must say I laughed when I saw Chambers SnowWhite, cracking take on the story ;)
-
Quite what I'm seeing too. The bases are simply hidden.
...and you are right.
-
I closed my eyes and hit vote. These are both fantastic. Well done guys.
-
Bloody fantastic both of you. Superb.
-
wow :o I just - I mean - I can't - *brain-fritz*
Superb. Both of them
-
Every time I look here there are more votes but it's still 50-50!
-
These are both remarkably well painted and photographed. Toughest matchup of the lot I've seen this round.
-
I agree. This is one of the toughest ever since I've been on. Great painting and well photographed. Just wonderful minis!
-
Not a fair vote, these two won't get as many votes as they deserve!
-
:o cheers to both artists...you guys both raise the bar with these entries.
Brutal choice!
Blue
-
All three rounds have had some difficult matches, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
How in earth am I suppossed to choice just ONE of these two BEAUTIFUL entries?
I really, really, really, need two votes...
-
Every time I come back to this match up the votes are equal o_o
Its going to the wire.
-
Close
so close, what a barn burner we got goin' here!
I do believe this is the first time ever I had to vote against Frank, tho :'( :-[
But I'm really feelin' that Snow chick there!
-
BTW, which one's Doc? They all look grumpy to me, even Snow darling! lol
-
Very possibly the best match I can recall from recent LPLs...
Impossible to slide a fag paper between the two, they both have so much going for them, but in slightly different ways...
Superbly done on both sides.
-
over 400 votes and 50-50, has that ever happened before?
-

I don't know, but I suspect this match will break the record for most viewed!
-

I think you are right, Doc.
I have been back regularly, to gaze at both admiringly and also to see how the voting is going!
-
...and you are right.
Then I stand corrected. I'm sorry for the confusion and meanwhile I do love your entry Frank, and I'm seriously looking forward to the next seven! :-*
-
This is the perfect draw for me, two outstanding pieces of art.
-
This is the perfect draw for me, two outstanding pieces of art.
Absolutely
No wonder the LPL is so popular
-
It's still so close! I keep coming back to check up on it, and to look at the entries again. What a match-up!
-
500 votes cast :o
And only a dozen votes in it at this stage... ::)
-
Could it get any closer?
:o
All week it has been so tight.
As far as I am aware, it only just swung to the 51% mark today!
Bonkers!
-
Down to the wire... amazing. o_o
-
I'd never seen an intense painting comp before, didn't think it was possible lol
Excellent lads 8)
-
50.5% vs 49.5%
Tick tick tick tick tick..................(cues countdown music)
-
Like everyone else this was such a hard call. I could have flipped a coin and been content knowing I'd be happy to vote for either one.
The regiment looks perfect. The dwarves have such a great atmosphere and tone that makes me think of turn of the century illustrations.

50.5% vs 49.5%
Tick tick tick tick tick..................(cues countdown music)
You're off... by .1% as of this writing. Awesome match.
-
The Thrilla in Manila had nothing on this, well done lads :)
-
Three vote difference! :o
Superb entries by two of my favorite painters!
Well done chaps!
-
A draw! That's a fair result in my view. Absolutely top work, chaps!
:-* :o :-*
-
Well done chaps..... in many respects a draw is the right result. :)
