Oh well, you tried ;D ;D lol lol
No, seriously thats nice and the obviously the result of your very pc thread about dots and feathers :D

Looks pretty good to me 8) I've got some of these in the queue.
I usually put an undercoat of a darkish brown over the black base coat. It makes the tones seem more natural and stops areas you missed standing out so starkly in photos.
I'm looking forward to some more.

Looks like you succeeded. Nice highlights.

An excellent first attempt. Now we need to see the whole war party :D

They're all lined up in the que. lol
(along with the pirates, the lava men, the werewolves, the legionaries, the bugs and the dust bunnies [/rhinoes.. depending on view])
I actually have no idea what Indians looked like, so I might have to gather some pictures and make a screen saver for my next painting session. :)

Ever so good. I like him. Proper wicked little piggy eyes... :)

Yes I still haven't figured out whether to go for white or no-white eyes.. lol
Second picture especially makes him look a bit piggy. Thought as much when I painted him. Haha!
Now there's a potential Indian-name coming... lol

Check out the painting guide, on the, er, Painting Guides page of the website ;)

bottom of the page; also just over half way down the Studio page:

and loads of painted versions on the Customers' Gallery page.
Cheers,

'Dances with piggy eyes'? lol

'Dances with piggy eyes'? lol
Indeed! ;D
I'm certain a real Indian would have had that name at some point only in a completely literal meaning. o_o lol

Fine painting for your first indian.
You might use a wash on the large areas,
as the shirt and leggings.
