Title: Compatioble rules sets from single sources
Post by: workerBee on April 02, 2012, 08:30:39 PM
Inspired by the question about FoF versus TFL rules systems:

Is Tomorrow's wars compatible with FOF (Force on Force)?

Is there a SF rules sets from TFL (Two Fat Lardies?)

Yes, just a little anal-retentive to have rules for WW2/Modern/SF that are relatively compatible (Like BKC II, CWC, and FWC.)

FOF is very compatible with TW.
same mechanics, just lots more stuff like the grid, power armour troops, drones and your other SF stuff.
You could easily put high-tech space invaders vs WW2 or modern troops, however,  they'd be several tech levels lower and thus wouldn't stand much chance against a large unit of adverseries. You'd have to put a large army against say a recce unit to make the game any fun.

Roger that last bit.

Although a naturally teleporting race with a modest "modern" force might do well versus a "Future" enemy.  But that is still SF versus SF.
