Title: A Henry! A Henry! A Saint George!!
Post by: Atheling on April 03, 2012, 05:26:31 PM
Hi,

Here's no. 2 in the Agincourt series of vignettes that I've cobbled together out of some miniatures that were not relevent to the Battle of Verneuil game Simon chick and I put on at Salute last year.

This time we have Henry V, Sir John Codrington- the Royal Banner Bearer etc.

I hope you enjoy the pics and remember, there are more pics and much more by way of text describing the Heraldry, liveries why I chose to do things the way I did on my blog, here:

And gentlemen in England, now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Brilliant paintjobs!

Sorry to wade in with more William S., but:

Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

More HYW excellence, Darrell!  My birthday happens to fall upon St. Crispin's day so the Agincourt campaign has always held an especial interest for me.

Gorgeous, Darrell. Love the heraldry - simplified but highly effective. Great work  :)
