Title: Mexican women
Post by: Boggler on January 23, 2008, 10:36:06 AM
I'm trying to find a 28mm mexican female to use as a soiled dove for my bandito posse.

I've looked at the Perry Carlist War women but they don't look very promiscuous, especially the granny:

Any other ideas?

Foundry Old West range has  Mexican peasants including a nice young lady:

Dixon Miniatures do some civilians not sure whether there are any Mexicans.

Old Glory have some Mexican civilians in their Pancho Villa range.

Foundry have one in their Wild west range

It may be worth scanning for generic soiled doves, black hair and dark skin would do the trick (Foudnry have one or two of these as well) or some of the Swash buckling barmaids or women of loose morals :D

Thanks guys,

I'd seen the Foundry mexican civilians and thought they might be Ok but still not 'flirty' enough perhaps.

The hasslefree strrumpet is, however, perfect, especially if I paint her up in a suitable style. The barmaid figure is another possibility, especially if I add a sixgun instead of the jug to give her a bit more firepower.

I knew you lot would come up with some good ideas

Don't think she's quite what you had in mind, but here she is anyways.  :)

 Soiled senoritas!  What a charming topic...

I recommend Reaper Townsfolk packs for this project:

02584 Townsfolk II has a female with a crooked finger "come hither" pose.

02655 Townsfolk III has two brazen stumpets displaying their wares.

02825 Townsfolk V has a beautiful woman with two children, possibly bastards.

All of these have facial features and hair which could pass for Mexican and clothing which could work in Mexico, although some of the townsfolk figures are  in medieval garb.  Although these come in multifigure packs, some of the other figures could be useful.  The III pack has a woman who appears to be preaching from a large book.  The V pack has a woman sweeping.

Have to say that the figure in the V pack is so cute it almost makes one think about starting a family!
