Had a bash at repainting one of the new plastic Dr Who figs (sad man that I am, I couldn't resist buying a pack  )
Anyway, here's K9:

And with Heresy's Dr Hugh for scale:

The tin dog is maybe a little big, but not enough to notice on the table, and he does look kinda cool. :)
The plastic covered ok with no pva primer, but it is one of the more solid pieces. Others will have to be done, I think. But not the humans, as they are dreadful.

He looks the Dogs Nuts (aluminium in this case)

That's great! Both figs look awesome. I need to put together a Heresy order and get Dr. Hugh!
Also, anybody know if those Dr. Who minis will be available in the USA?

Dreadful you say? Good thing I held off on preordering a bunch.

Yup. The human figures are really badly done. Extra bendy (so much so that Sarah Jane comes with a plastic insert to stop her legs buckling in the packaging) with no detail at all on the faces, and hands that are nothing more than blobs. And they're too thin to match any 28mm figs, even realistically proportioned ones like Hasslefree.
Monsters, of which I have a Slitheen and a Werewolf, should be useable, and paint up ok, although the Werewolf needs some filling as it is multipart.
I'll probably do 'em eventually.
Probably.

... Sarah Jane comes with a plastic insert ...
I'm sorry, I just realised what I wrote.
That sounds terrible.
Not awake yet. More coffee. Yes.

Nice repaint.
