Twilight (Not the pasty faced vampires obviously!) isn't it, and very nice too! ?
-
both stunning entries! :o :o
Love the impressive paintjob on the Exploring Gentlemen and the unique subject and cool setting by LF. Very nice match!
(and Thantsants is right, twilight not quar ;) )

One of the most interesting pair this season meaning there are two very good entries with a completely different painting technique.
-
Wow, those gentlemen are very well painted as ever Bugsda, lovely rich colours too, especially the red! The twilight picture is very cool and I love the mottled skin of the beasts of burden. The setting is very cool as well, I especially like the stones with the holes. There's so much going on in this entry you can look at it for quite a while. I do think some sharper close would be nice. Loving the flowers on the bases too! :-*

I was kind of dissapointed, when I found out it wasn't EXPLODING gentlemen lol
Well the painting class of both entries kind of made up for it in the end. Very nice!

o_o
Tough match here. Bugsda shows his characteristic stunning crispness and precise detail.
The color scheme and painting on the Twilight figures are wonderful, not to mention the Henson-like valley setting.
Nicely done guys!

Nice group of explorers Bugsda!
Thanks for the comments, yes, they are from 'World of Twilight', one of my favorite range of minis.
I love these minis and they are pure joy to paint. Yet I have had life & other projects constantly step ahead of them in line, so it was nice to have this challenge to motivate me to get some of them done.

Darkest Africa really brings the best out of you, Chris. Wonderful tones, which really make Dr Livingstone's smock jump out :-*
-
Tough call again, I really like bothThis LPL has thrown up some good matches
-
This might be the match of matches for this round.
The exploring gents are spectacular, the pack dinos are great figures, and I love how expansive the scene is, with the caravan winding down the canyon and the attackers up the sides. Depth of field is damned hard to do in miniature photography!
-
Those Twilight figures are insanely cool.
I have never seen them before.
Must resist the "OOoooo... SHINY!" effect... :'(
-
My ten year old son recons Ferret's are very cool while mine are just boring old men.
No filial piety there then. lol
Top job Ferret, great looking set up 8)

Both wonderful entries for different reasons! What a choice!?
