Damn that hard!
But I think you got the numbers per side wrong Dr! ;)
-
Mmmm Nuka Cola...
This is a real toughie. A favourite film and favourite game, nevermind the quality of the painting - well done all concerned!
-
Greetings
Darn, you don't make it easy for us, do you??
I love those lancers, charging their opponents. Ah but I also love the Hasslefree Minis and you made a damn good job on them. You should show them Sally and Kev when the LPL is over.
Tough one for me. This is one match I would need two votes.
Great work both of you
Thank you
Jo

Very difficult call.
What are the crates? They look almost like .22 ammo packaging, but that would be much bigger?
-
Those lancers are astonishingly good! :-*
-
Wonderful both!
Where are the cocacola (er--- nuka cola) bottles from?
-
But I think you got the numbers per side wrong Dr! ;)
"Lancers -- thousands of them!"
-
I almost never comment on specific entries... but in this case... being totally into the nineteenth century...
:o :-* o_o ;D :P

Clever idea and great detailing Arcturus, I really like your scene. The weathering on the truck is fantastic, and the Santa fits in really well with the girls. Having painted a couple of those Hasslefree kids I can affirm that they're small, detailed, and hard to paint- well done!
But I think you got the numbers per side wrong Dr! ;)
I only had time to paint two Zulus ;). The 17th Lancers took me much, much longer than I expected- I even took them with me to work on over Easter when I went out of town. I haven't painted horses in a few years and this was the first time I tried the 'foil flag' method as well. Bit of a learning curve there.
"Lancers -- thousands of them!"
lol

The horses turned out wonderfully Dr., especially the grey one with the mottles! The foil flags are very nice as well, as is the rest of the entry. I love the Nuka Cola truck as well, at first I thought it was way too large but then I noticed the figures were just little kids. Great entry Arcturus.
-
You have to tell me where that truck is from. You MUST!
-
I was thinking of doing lancers this season. Glad now that I thought better of it. Both very good entries.
-
Thanks guys for the nice comments. Great entry and painting Dr. Mathias!
The Botttles are from ebay. Search for 1:24 Coca Cola
The truck is from ebay as well. Scale is 1:43, Model: 1950 Chevy Cab. It comes as a Garbage truck, the box is a conversion.
-
Well done, Arcturus!
Glad I wasn't paired against you!
-
love the entry arturus, those coke bottles are ace
Dr Mathias - what can we say - bloody superb as usual
-
I like the Lancers, I'll pin them, and they'll end up on my Miniature Painting News Aggregator (http://news.muschamp.ca/) which is starting to work pretty well.
-
Two really fantastic contributions! …but my heart strikes for the colonial period. :-*
-
I'm ready for the Zombiepocalips, are you?
-
One more time, as has been a norm rather than an exception in this league... I NEED A "DRAW" OPTION!
So hard to choose ONLY ONE of the entries.
And, as I have stated before, the difference in votes DOES NOT reflect how close both entries really are.
Best wishes to both EXCELLENT painters.
