Title: Gorkamorka!
Post by: Dr. Kevin Moon III esq. on April 18, 2012, 05:35:55 PM
I found these happy chappies half-finished while rummaging through my old models so I finished the job and have made a start on their vehicles.

What do you guys reckon, Gorka's or Morka's?

Not too sure (like 'em, though), but if you're after a few more I inherited a bunch of badly painted orky bits and figures which are the right era. Would you (or anyone else) be interested?

Must resist new bandwagons to jump on, although that was in the rules IIRC

Easily Morkas, they are too brightly coloured to be Gorkas!

Gorkas, however, are ded proppa!   :D

I love Gorkamorka, trying to get some going at work, but too many young gamers have never even heard of it.  :(

In exchange for him getting a Necromunda gang started, I was coerced by a friend into starting a Gorkamorka mob myself.

So far, I've got a truck, a boss and a couple of boys, all undercoated black. They're the new plastics, granted, but for a sideproject, they'll do.

Of course they've been sitting on the WIP shelf, half forgotten for quite some time now, and there you come along, and you just had to wake the dragon, eh? ;)

Ah well; trusty old metalics drybrush, here I come. Now where is that rust pigment...

Oh; and considering they're using purple warpaint, I'd call them unaligned; Dorkas :D

I'm saying Morkas too, though they are well equipped in the choppa department. Nice work on these figures, do the 20mm bases work in vehicles? Looking forward to seeing the rest of the bunch 8)

Well are they cunningly brutal or brutally cunning?

Just about, I can fit 4 on the back of a truck (though I don't have the middle divider on the one I have built). They are so much more stable than the original Gorkamorka bases though it more than makes up for it.

There are a couple of old Orks I am after (the old snakebite runtherd, the Gorkamorka special characters and an unbuilt wartrakk) but other than that I don't really need any others.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Classic stuff!
Great to see people still painting these :)
