I collected the first stock of the new game Muskets and Tomahawks at Salute yesterday.

Hundreds were sold on the day, so there are a few out there already!

So this means there are more available for sale and immediate shipment?
Note: Nevermind. Just saw the twitter feed and that it's in stock. Order placed...
-
The boys will be struggling to put everything back in stock tomorrow from Salute, but I'll personally make sure the M&T pre-orders get sent.

We are having our first game tonight.
Any ETA on the official minis Nck?

Mike Owen is sculpting the official range, 3 weeks for the first releases we hope. The first sets will be an Indian Warband, a British Wilderness Force and a French Wilderness Force, each set about 23 figures.
Crusader Miniatures have just released some Woodland Indians as well, no pictures just yet but I think we all know the quality of Mark Sims design.

Hi Rich, at the risk of sounding like an overly pedantic jerk, I'd just like to point out a few things from the dialog in your AAR.
Totem Poles are used in the Pacific North West by the natives out that way, 3,000 miles from the Eastern tribes involved in the FIW. Things like blood brothers and using words like braves were used in old movies, but don't really have any bearing on the FIW.
That being said if you are after a 'pulpy' version of an Indian War, carry on. I enjoy listening to you on the M&M podcast and you seem to enjoy the 'game' aspect more than being overly concerned with the historical details at times, much like myself. But I thought I'd pop this in there if you were interested in getting involved in the period more heavily. I've chosen to delve into the details of the FIW but choose to have my VBCW as 'pulpy' as fresh squeezed OJ. If I were to write and AAR report for VBCW, I'm sure I'd include things that would make a knowledgeable person cringe.

No worries. I don't know the language to use the correct words so was approximating with English words. I think there is possibly more to worry about realistically wise with my narrative than the few things you have raised.
:)
Oh just so you know, you did come across as a overly pedantic jerk.

Thanks mate, knew that was a risk. ;) As a Native American living in the area of the FIW, just doing my part to dispell some stereotypes. Otherwise you'll have folks talking about "feather not dot" indians next. :)
-
Next you'll be telling me they didn't say 'how' and whuup around banging their hands on their mouth while drooling over glass beads and running away from musket bangs
I know it's all true I saw it on the telly!
:)
What ever you do don't read the second battle rep where they all stop for a few puffs on the peace pipe at the end while sitting round a wigwam with the big GW.
:)
Whatever you do please keep being a pedantic jerk so I can learn as am going :)

Rich
Big GW? Games Workshop branch in a wigwam?
What were you smoking in that pipe?
:~}
Fergal-
don't worry about being pedantic, we are two nations divided by a common language.
You could always start a new thread with accurate pictures &etc for those of us over here.
Also anything about natives in the wWar of 1812

Can we get an update on the Mike Owen miniatures? We are well out past the 3 week range now...
I am really wanting to purchase these three box sets...

I wonder if the rules are adaptable to King Philip's War and King William's War?
-
