Hi, I just found this picture on the Bruckenkopf hobby portal of the plastic infantry! They look great!
-
They look great! :o
These are tutonic knight foot correct?
If so I cant wait to see the Rus, Lats and Polish! :D
-
They looked great when I had a look. As tempted as I was on the day, I STUCK TO THE SHOPPING LIST.
:D
-
They look promising, any wild guess of when we can start emptying our wallets?

:D
What fun is that?

Wow! :-*
I was about to buy some metal medieval infantry, might just put them on hold now...
I'll email Fireforge now and see if I can get a fix on a release date.
-
Email sent.
I'll let you folks know if I hear anything back from Fireforge.

Hadn't noticed the previous answer but I've emailed Francesco at Fireforge Games and this was the answer
"We will release for Christmas 3 boxes of infantry and with these you will be able to make up to 12 crossbomen, up to 12 foot knights, up to
24 foot sergeants. There will be a box of dismounted templar infantry, a box of dismounted teutonic infantry and a box of foot sergeants.
We will release first, for november, our ruleset Deus Vult, the book that it's possible to see in the interview of beasts of war, is only a
beta, the layout of the pages will be similar in the definitive version. The size of book we are thinking for a format similar to the
other rulesets as Hail Caesar"
I hope this helped! Looking forward to the infantry!

Very helpful indeed, thanks!

Thanx for posting the email. I am really looking forward to a complete range.
Great news... :)

I hope the bases of the released models will be a LOT thinner than those shown at the picture.

:o You are a Saint!
These look really nice! I like the plastic Perry medievals a lot, but the 15th Century isn't that exciting to me. I much prefer earlier medieval times!

Same here, although plastic bases file down quite easily.

I just like Medieval times! :D

Here are the pictures of the greens for all the three infantry sets! And they look great especially the cloaks with the animal skins!

Aside from the swords the rest of the hand weapons still have the Peter Jackson oversize effect, but not as bad at the flail on the cavalry. Luckly I generally end up with extra hand weapons so I'll still be picking up a box or 6.
-
I also think the weapons are slightly reduced in size but no need to worry as there boxes always contain lots of spare weapons (my wargame factory orcs are armed with some of their weaponry including the flails).
-
I've been looking forward to seeing these. Will be picking up a box when they arrive.
