I found my old Mattel Vac-U-Form machine and decided to try some windshields for the Marx Future Cars. I'm still tweaking the mold for them but I'm pretty happy with them so far.
Once I get them finalized I'll most likely offer them to LAF members if anyone is interested.
Please let me know what you think.

Wasn't that Dolly Parton?
Anyway, it's not a half-bad idea. Are you thinking of doing canopies for the open-topped ones as well?

The Vac-U-Form was a toy in the 1960s that allowed kids to make their own toys and trinkets. A lot of hobbyists through the years have bought them to make small canopies and the like for models. The main problem is that the machines only use a certain size sheet of plastic that has to be drilled with holes that correspond to pins in the holding frame. But luckily there are still some places that hand make the sheets so they're pretty easy to get.

I might make some for the two roadsters eventually but right now I'll do the two closed cabin models first and see how they turn out.

Dolly Parton sh..s in the woods, you say?
Anyway, the Vac-U-Form sounds like a toy long overdue for a reissue.
