Title: Planning a kungfu town
Post by: driller on May 30, 2012, 04:15:21 PM
I'm planning to make a kungu town-board, a town one can see in Hongkong kungfu films, Canton or Hongkong in the nineteenth century perhaps.

Anybody knows where to get buildings and vehicles for such a project?

I had to build my own cause I really couldn't find much to fit the bill besides the papercraft temple.

Don't know if that's helpful but I really couldn't find much for buildings to suit what I needed. That may have changed as that project is a couple years old and I haven't really looked into martial arts terrain since I finished that project.

I'll be following this w/ interest! I'm thinking of doing a "Big Trouble in Little China" style Chinatown for my old Stone Circle China Town minis.

2gun- nice terrain, glad to see some CT minis in there too!

Progress will be slooooooooow but I'll keep you guys updated :) I just bought a cartload of chinese figs from different companies, waiting for them to arrive.

The difficult thing is that I would really like to use chinese buildings, and what's out there is mostly japanese. That's not good for this project.

TwoGunBob, great stuff there, too bad I'm totally crap at making terrain. :)

So, the original thread-starter question still applies: where can I buy chinese buildings for a town?

Lovely buildings and was seriously considering some of them for Bushido, until I realised they were 15mm  :-[

Hello,

I'm sorry but you are wrong.  :)

It's buildings are good for the 25/28mm : http://decorsminiatures.fr/category.php?id_category=77 (http://decorsminiatures.fr/category.php?id_category=77)

It looks like the website needs fixing, then, because that page is headed and marked in the side-bar as "bātiment 1/100 (15mm)".

Hello,

is a subcategory as described on the page.

http://decorsminiatures.admin.prestabox.com/category.php?id_category=77 (http://decorsminiatures.admin.prestabox.com/category.php?id_category=77)

After that, it is true that there is more information on the French version.

For doors, there is one in stock and I will receive it again in a month.

You could try Monolith, however I don't know how reliable they are having never ordered from them myself after hearing some bad press.
