Hi there!
I wanted to introduce my latest finished project. The theme fits well here, it's about Jack the Ripper.
It costs me over 1000 hours to finish this diorama. I hope you enjoy it.

Wow, what a great period piece. I really like the lighting effects
-
:-* :-* :-*
Mindblowing! I like the Hirst arts clocktower with the scaffolding, and the rest, well I like all of it. :D
-
Amazing! :o Worth every hour spent.
-
:o :o :o
Bloody hell!
I will comment properly later, when I have stopped dribbling on the keyboard!
:-* :-* :-*
-
Stunning work :-* :-* :-*
I love all the little details. Every time I look back at the photos I see something else :o :o :o
-
I spotted your WONDROUS CREATION over on C.M.o.N.. It's one of those pieces that the longer I look at it the more delightful details I spot. While you've created a piece that is far beyond my abilities to equal, it is something that inspires this Old Man to achieve more than I might otherwise...thank you. INCREDIBLY WELL DONE!
-
I'll be in my bunk! :-*
Which is to say: Beautiful work Sir!
-
Holy crap, that is probably the most beautiful diorama I have ever seen!! :-* :-*
-
Hey,

-
Wow you work fast! Awesome job! Extremely well done!
-
I had seen this on C'MON but thank you for letting us see it again. A truly wonderful piece of art. The compilation of elements is outstanding and I would like to think that one day I could plan out, let alone build something half as good. The desig of the Lockharts building may well be stolen ;)
-
OMG THATS AMAZING!
I nearly soiled myself with excitement at how great it is!
FANTASTIC WORK!
A well Deserved HUZZAH! From Me!
-
Simply incredible! I'm totally blown away :o :o :o
NURSE!!!! Can you bring me a towel, it's happened again......
-
Damn! That is amazing, so much beautiful detail.
-
F ME SIDEWAYS WITH A BARGE POLL
That is outstanding! Just amazing.
You said it's complete but I think the church need a bit of work ;)
-
PS is it based on the game?
-
F ME SIDEWAYS WITH A BARGE POLL
I couldn't put it better myself!!!
-
:o :o :-* :-* INCREIBLE
-
You sir, are an artist! This belongs in an art gallery.
Simply astonishing.
-
I love the set up!
-
That's fracking lovely.
-
Simply Fantastic :-*
-
Beautiful, certainly requires repeat visits.
Who makes the strumpets showing their goods to the interested gentleman?
-
So, this is what I could not :'( see at work >:( (Pictures are blocked...a security risk, you know...) o_o ::) and the wait was worth it. :-*
Whoa. Wow! Sweet Lord...
All I can add is... DUDE! :o
Gracias,
Glenn
-
Outstanding in every way.
I truely envy your skills.
:o
-
Perfection!
-
Truly amazing! Well done!
-
Cover me in eggs and flour and bake me for forty minutes! That is a stunning piece of work! :-*
Faultless and inspirational. As Svennn said, I might have to borrow some ideas ;)
-
Yes,Yes and thrice Yes....utterly mesmerising..the attention to detail,the lighting,the atmosphere,the posters,the ladies of the night(so realistic I quite fancy the one with the big norks! ;)),Jack's carnage.....unsurpassed,unrivalled,unbelievable!!
BRAVO!
-
THANK YOU!!!! :)
This keeps me going on building more and more "little" things like this.
@Dr Mathias
The ladies are from Wargames Foundry. Some of them are a litte reconstructed, so you can see one of the ladies without underware ::)
@thebinmann
which game do you mean??
-
I am speechless :o utterly amazing work.
-
Beautiful peace of art...one thing though that does not fit Sir...
The prostitutes are to good looking ;)
-
hehehe....itīs still early evening....
-
:o.. got no words..
-
That's amazing and jaw dropping. Full of details and with a fantastic atmosphere.
-
For me, this work is a piece of art in its pure and extended sense.
For simple starters like me, it would be quite helpful if you could give us some details about the materials used to recreate the scene, I mean for example:
- lamps
- buildings
- forniture
- cobblestone roads...
Congratulations and many thanks in advance.
-
This is really incredible work! :-*
-
:o :o :o :o :o
thats very motivating and inspiring!
awesome the level of care on details, like the cover of The Illustrated Police News on the walls.
Please keep doing great projects like this one, and keep posting them!
-

Foly Huck :o
Outstanding. Stunning. Amazing. Superb. Top-notch. Wonderful. [repeat ad nauseum!]
Thanks for posting this - really inspirational 8)
-
What can I add to what has already been written? That is a phenomenal work of art!
-
This is amazing. Certainly one the greatest dioramas featured on this board. :o :o
The details are mind-blowing. Have you some additional pictures? I'm curious about this glass-roof on the building on the right (well, I'm curious about many other parts, as I'm sure nearly everyone here).
-
thanks again!
Here are some WIP pictures, perhaps this explains some questions.

Hey,
thank you for your kind words. It was really hard for me to finish this diorama.
Heck, it would be impossible for me to start, after seeing the beauty you finished.
If astounding the timid amongst us was a goal, you have over a thousand hours very well spent!
Sorry I took so long to see it; not so much sorry to you, as for my own missing out. :o
> The prostitutes are to(o) good looking ;)
Beer glasses?

Many thanks for those great pics.
The most incredible thing!!!
-
The devil is in the detail, inspirational a work of genius.
thanks for sharing. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

In the face of all the brilliance in the WIP pictures I'm probably going to ask you one of the most boring questions; what did you use for the drain pipes?
-
Christ if that's the only advice you need I'll never even think about modelling....
-
What a truly stunning piece of work. The attention to detail is awesome.
Really looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks for posting this on the forum.
-
Incredible, just incredible.
Thank you.
-
One of the best I have ever seen.
Technical skills are awesome but inspiration for atmosphere of the scene is absolutely amazing.
-
Saying that I registered in this forum just to say "That's an incredible piece of ART" would be too much, but I must say you got a role in it.
I saw a couple of days ago the pictures of the finished diorama and was wondering about the construction process, and then you get those WIP pictures. Great job!
-
Thank you for the new pics. The more I see it, the more amazed I am by your diorama.
-
Christ if that's the only advice you need I'll never even think about modelling....
lol lol
-
In the face of all the brilliance in the WIP pictures I'm probably going to ask you one of the most boring questions; what did you use for the drain pipes?
you mean the rain pipes? oh, these are simple messing pipes (is there a english word for it?????) The attachment to the wall is only small strips of paper, which I wrapped around the tube.
oh my english..... ;)
-
Please dont apologise for your English, my German is worse!
I'm not sure what messing pipes are, it's not something I'm aware of. Do you have a link to a website where you bought them (if you bought them online that is)?
Just looked at your webiste, there's some stunning work there.
-
you can find it for example here:
http://www.hobby-lobby-modellbau.com/onlineshop/index.php/cat/c94_Messing---Rohre.html
Iīm glad if you like my other work, I havnīt many dioramas, because I need a lot of time to build them ;)
-
Your Investment of 1000 hours was no waste of time. Fantastic work. Hope you show us more of this here...

A bit of reverse engineering via Google Translation suggests Messingrohre is simple brass tubing, as if ANYTHING involved here could be 'simple'...

Superb!
-
Beautiful!!!! :-* :-* :-* :-
-
Thanks for that. :)
-
The WIP photos are great thanks.
Showing loads of details not seen before.
Very nice attic studio scene :-* :-* :-*
The detail is amazing :o :o :o
Where did the various windows come from?
-
Second the question about the windows.
This is astonishing work. Truly inspirational!
-
The windows are mostly from Auhagen
(http://www.auhagen-shop.de/product_info.php/info/p32785_Fenster-und-Gew--228-nde-f--252-r-Wohngeb--228-ude.html/XTCsid/jr3vdlos284190nr54dqf31tm6)
It,s from model railway, not exactly the right scale but it fits quite well.
-
It's things like this that deserve to be put in a museum and preserved. I'd forward some pics to the London Dungeon or somewhere like that as it really needs to be seen by as many people as possible. Great stuff.
-
Is it possible to post the photographs (both the finished and wips) again as I can't see them as they are too popular or something? Have seen them but want to take another look :D thanks in advance
-
sorry for that, but you have to wait a few days, then the pictures are visible again....
@shelfunit
thanks! :D
-
From all the comments , I'm looking forward to seeing this (once pictures are viewable again)
Perhaps you could upload them to a blog page, and we could view them on yur blog...
regards
Scott

Absolutely fantastic project. :-*
I saw some early WIP's for this project approximately 1 year ago and I was amazed.
Seeing the finished project I'm even more amazed. :o
