Lovely PJs, I keep meaning to pick up the not Captain Scarlet stuff. Only C&C would be the eyes on some of them let the PJ down - whites are too big giving them a wierd look (sorry!!) Love the backdrops as well.

Nice job. I've got to have a go at my not-Captain Scarlet figures when I can actually get back into my painting room! At least before I do the game I've got on our schedule in September.

Some nice work there!

Eyes... look alright to me. They are never easy to get right, some people paint them who shouldn't, mine always look like they've just had a firm kick in the knackers, or they've imbibed some suspicious substance... I vary my styles.

FINALLY - in spite of all the fracking hassles, in spite of the stripping of paint and redoing of models - my fledgling Department X Cast is done.

Not a desperately exciting Cast, but playable -

Dr Hugo Solomon - 85 Ratings
Pandora King - 70 Ratings (including X-Zero)

3 X-Commandos with Rifles - 46 Ratings (1 has Grenades)
3 X-Commandos with SMG's - 49 Ratings (1 has Stun-Grenades)

250 Ratings

Argonauts Cast next!

I can see myself making a move into Spy-fi sooner than I intended because of threads like this.

And then there were Three - the Start of the Argonauts Cast.

Talos, and two Mark III Argonauts. I've kept the colour scheme simpler on the Argonauts, as they are not as complex (or as old) as Talos, and I wanted to reflect this.

The conversion work is done on the "Robo-Minions" (and the putty is finally set, FFS it seemed to take forever) and Dr Argo is part done now too.

I don't know what to tackle next really, but S.H.I.V.A. are most definitely calling me.

I was thinking along the lines of -

The Guru - 80 Ratings

2 Daughters of Shiva - 80 Ratings

4 "Friendsy" Thugs - 40 Ratings

3 Security Guards (SMG) - 24

3 Security Guards (Rifle) - 21

Total - 250 Ratings

The Villainous Cast of Professor Villainous (251 Ratings)

Professor Villainous, failed Dictator of the (now missing, after a Nuclear Incident) small Island nation of Hindenstan –  and now Head of the Evil Organization only known as “E.A.R.W.I.G.” (Evil  Anarchists, for Ransom, Warmongering, Insurrection, and Gain).

Ruling with an Iron Fist (OK, a funny little squint – and so many personal habits its almost embarrassing) Professor Villainous (aided by his personal assistant, known only as the “Personal Assistant”) and his tame Albino Lynx “Mister Dawson) most often fall fowl of the B.S. (the British Secret-Service) and their Top Agent Hillman Storm, ably assisted by Mrs Hornchurch.

Professor Emile Villainous
(Former Dictator and Head of E.A.R.W.I.G. - Evil Mastermind | 77 Ratings)

Mov – 6  Def – 5  Hits – 3  Str – 3  Agi – 4  Int – 6  Mor – 5

Attacks – Brawl (basically hand slapping, and running away a lot) 5+, and Pistol 4+

Special Effects
I Will Return, Luck (2), Medic, Resist Vacuum, Drive/Pilot, Boffin (2)

Disadvantages
Clumsy

Star Quality
Insane Confidence

Mr. Dawson
(Professor Villainous' Pet Albino Lynx - Counts as an Attack Dog | 4 Ratings)

Move – 8  Def – 3  Hits – 1  Str – 3  Agi – 3  Int – 1  Morale – 4

Special Effects
Animal (Only friendly Handlers can use the Leader special ability on Attack Dogs - as Professor Villainous has little or no control over Mr. Dawsons actions, Mr. Dawson pretty much does what Mr. Dawson Wants), Instinctive.

Attacks – Frenzied Bite (3+)

Professor Villainous’ Number One Man, the Personal Assistant, former Head of the Military Forces in Hindenstan, is Strong, Tough, and Ruthless, and has a taste for Femdroids, and Miniature Models of Factories.

The Personal Assistant
(Professor Villainous’ personal assistant - Faithful Lackey | 70 Ratings)

Mov – 6  Def – 4  Hits – 2  Str – 4  Agi – 4  Int – 4  Mor – 4

Attacks – Brawl (Tae Kwon Do) 3+, and High Calibre Pistol 3+, SMG 4+

Special Effects
Blocker, Sidekick, Fists Of Fury, Leader (2), Military Training

Disadvantages
Most Wanted

Security Team 'Beetle'
6 Security Guards (3 with Rifles, 3 with SMG’s, one Leader) – 50 Ratings

Security Team 'Termite'
6 Security Guards (3 with Rifles, 3 with SMG’s, one Leader) – 50 Ratings

A "Villanous" Trio (from left to right) - The Personal Assistant, Professor Villainous, Mr. Dawson.

Security Team 'Beetle'.

Security Team 'Termite'.

A Group Shot of the Villainous Cast of Professor Villainous

Everything barring Mr. Dawson is by Crooked Dice Miniatures - Professor Villainous is the Man from 2000's Body with an Evil mastermind Head, The Personal Assistant is a Man From 3000's Body, a Time Lift Security Pistol, the Man from 2000's Head with an Eye Patch Sculpted On. Team Termite and Team Beetle are Minions with SMG's and Rilfes with Hard Hats from a Crooked Dice Head Sprue. Mr. Dawson, is the Cat from the Malifaux Victorian Basing Kit.

Brilliant!

A lovely concept taken to a wonderful finish.
 :-* :-*

You are one of a few on here (along with AndyM, Brummie and Overlord, amongst others) that have made me go off on another tangent convinced me to dabble in some similar shenanigans.

I already have my first group of Minion types on their way to follow the orders of my already finished Evil Mastermind and Henchwoman.
Along with a few others making a transfer over from other projects, I am well on the way with my own project.

I shall be making a proper start next week.....

Git!

Thank you!

DIS-AS-TER Struck today, I'm not sure how it happened. I'm in the process of re-basing a few things atm. Tweedy, WPC May Killian (who's also having a repaint) and a few other bits and bobs.

On the Kitchen table working this Morning - no one about - Cats asleep or out, Dog out with his Mum.

Lovely and quiet.

Door Knocks and Phone Rings at the same time - both something and nothing (other than a waste of time) - when I got back, the Superglue had "toppled" and fallen onto Tweedy - knocking him flat, and leaking all over him. It was a real "For F***s Sake" Moment.

Repainting him now :(

As we have got the "Otherworld Miniatures Skirmish" to look forward too. These are my new Dungeon Bases I sculpted and cast up - Which looks Better Grey-Stone or Sand-Stone? Or should I do a Mix of Both (like the old GW Cardboard Floorplans) - I'm also planning on using these for my 7th Voyage Miniatures as well.

Crooked Dice once again pinched my idea (again without knowing though LoL) - My Robo Minions for my Argonauts Cast - note the end of the Sonic Blasters match the silouette of the gun arm of the Robo-Minions in the Argonauts Cast Book, and that they have "Chest Units" - at least I don't need to make any more Helmets now ;)

The "Receivers" on the Sides of the Helmets are TLS (Time Lift Security) Commander Radios - hand cut off, filed and shaped, and glued into place.

The "muzzle" on the Blasters is from the TLS Scanner - cut off and delicately pinned to the barrel after removing the original muzzle.

The TLS Scanner itself became the center of the chest unit, with the sides being carefully sculpted onto the miniature.

My Argonauts Cast as it stands, just Doctor Argo to go (I messed him up and re-painting him now).

Well, after hiccups and illness that's Doctor Ulysses Argo finished, my "starter" Argonauts Cast (generally I plan to 250 Ratings these days, as I find that to be the "sweet spot" for Casts) is finished - I went for more of a "clockwork" look on the hands, mostly because I am never EVER satisfied as it is - trying to do a glow that I would be happy to show anyone would take me a decade I reckon.

Here is the cast in all its Glory (including my own converted "Robo-Men" AHEM "Robo-Minions" . . . . . . You get a real sense of scale in this picture, the Talos is FRICKING HUGE!
