Title: Normans
Post by: Belisarius on June 18, 2012, 08:41:38 PM
Is there a more versitile army than the Normans ?. They can morph into Anglo norman, Byzantine mercenaries, Crusades, Italy,  I also use them as a second rank sergeant to Knights.

Wargames Factory I think, plastic figures and all the better for conversion potential.

They are from Conquest Games, not Wargames Factory. They also have skirmishers with bows and crossbowmen as well as mounted archers.

One thing I don't like of these miniatures is the way the arms are made. Instead of cutting from the shoulder to separate the torso part and the arm part they cut half way to the elbow, just were the chainmail ends. And this can give the knigths an odd gesture of the arm.

In the other side, great price/quantity ratio and pretty well sculpted.

Very nice, and as you have said they can be used for several different armies.

Very nice!! I´m waiting for the plastic infantry. When they are released I´ll buy a knights box too.

Nice knights.

I would rather look for the Fireforge infantry. It must be on the go and their cavalry is simply brilliant.
