Well, I have to say that Pappa Midnights new exo walker moved me to try an adaptaion myself;

Still a lot of detailing for the arm controls and some straps, plus paint and base and all the usual thousand details once the basic work is about done :)

Very cool! I like the pilot figure... only... he's not wearing a pith helmet! Surely shome mishtake?
-
I'm intending on using him in our Empire of the Dead campaign and its located mainly in cities or the immediate countryside. So I batted around suitability of pith helmet vs flat cap...... I already had several walker conversions for my VSF army of Kaptain Kneemo, my faction leader (current) figure on a steam walker has a top hat................so it was time for something new :)

I think you have one heck of a good start there. Looking forward to the finished pictures!

Very nice!!!
I like the way you've kept the original foot plates. It makes the mini even taller and even more intimidating. The claw is an excellent addition and that Gatling is even bigger than the one I used!!
Look forward to seeing this finished.

Nice work so far. This makes me wonder what I can do using Mage Knight automatons as the basis for walkers - must see what I have in my bits box ;)

Great start!
Looking forward to seeing further progress.

After I bulked up the power plant on the back of the walker, the legs looked.........to weak so:

Still arm controllers to build on, and maybe a targeting monocle.

Looking good!

Finished all but the tiniest painting details on the Walker but will probably be without camera for a few days so thought to get this up on site.

And of course some complete change of the Base is required, with a trail of shell casings from the Gatling Gun.

Yes, indeed.
The shot from the back (on the blog) is especially impressive.
