c) more insurgents
-
For the Barrett you could use the Eureka one.
-
I would really like to see;
Crew members for different tanks and Humvees.
Also insurgents, love what they have done, just want more.
Does that make me greedy? lol
-
c) more insurgents
Definitely; if there were more packs I would buy them, until then, no.
-
More insurgent riflemen and a support pack are planned for the late autumn to start with. We've just got a few projects (and holidays) to get out of the way first!

Same or complimentary sculptor I hope! If so, consider me sold! :)

How late in the year is 'late autumn' in this context?

Possibly, but time is tight at the moment. I'd like to bulk out the insurgents to make them a lot more useful and there is a 'new' force that we'd like to get up to the same scale as the US/UK ranges at present.
Unfortunately there is only so much time in the day :)
-
.... and there is a 'new' force that we'd like to get up to the same scale as the US/UK ranges at present.....
Oh my God! Could it be true? G4S Security Guards for the London Olympics? It seems you won't need quite as many as the British Army range if that is the secret new force you have in mind. In fact we can probably just manage without. I would still like to see the Boris Johnson and Seb Coe personality figures though.
:D

Any more info on an ETA Keith? :)
-
Still the same at the moment ... :)

Eureka make the Barret team, look under their USMC Force Recon range. As for vehicle crew you might want to look at their SEAL crew for the Company B G-Wagen, which comes with weapons ( .50 cal and vehicle mount M240) They sell these separately and they would work for US Army.
-
French Foreign legion please.
Especially with support weapons

Eureka again and also Dadi i Piombo
-
@carlos: you were faster than me. Next time will be mine ;)
I hope for some troops not avaible in the moment. Like North koreans or mexicans or modern japanese
-
:D
Eureka make modern Japanese in their Kreigspiel line.
But yes, some, troops nobody makes as yet would be nice. Generic chaps in kevlar helmets, BDU style uniforms and AK-47s seems to be a popular request.
-
Aussie support weapon teams, as eureka has a very limited range :-(
-
Well, if we change the thread title then you could request some? :D

Actually I'm going back to the future and concentrating on the 1950s-70s. Apart from the nostalgia, there's no sense that I'll have to replace the minis to go with the latest bit of kit or repaint the buggers cos some fashionista in defence circles has decided on a new pattern of camouflage.
-
I have all the Eureka ones, but we were talking about an Empress wishlist. This would give me a wider selection :D

A wise decision... it is the way forward. Go back to the present in about twenty years when it's the past and things will be better. :?

Right then, an endorsement from the mod.
So for my modern (modern for those of us over the age of 45 that is) wishlist.
Russians circa 1956-1970. Gymnastierka, AKs, RPDs etc. Budapest, Prague, the Berlin Crisis, the Cuban Missile Crisis etc etc. Pretty good for 7TV/ Kiss Kiss Bang Bang playersas well I should thonk. Yes, I know about the Brigade Games Atomic cafe line but they come in silly packs.
US Army 1957-70s. Sateen combat uniforms, with all those snazzy, Elvis era, coloured insignia.
French paras for Algeria.
French paras for Kolwezi.
Chinese infantry, 1960s/70s. Teach brotherly Vietnam a lesson, take Honkers by force 30 years earlier, fight the perfidious Russians. Caps/ helmet variants.
Cubans, lots of Cubans.
1. The Revolution
a) Fidel and the boys from the Sierra Maestre.
b) Batista's army.
2) Bay of Pigs.
a)Fidel and the Peoples Militia and some regulars.
b) Reactionary CIA backed running dog counter-revolutionary gangsters (Brigadistas)
3) Internationalism
a)Che and the Boys in Bolivia
b) Bolivian Rangers
Chinese and Russian winter clad infantry. Border conflict 1969.
Chilean Army for 1979. Someone else to fight my Argentines.
Cue theme song from the Man of La Mancha............. lol
-
That's quite a list :)
Would certainly go for French paras for Kolwezi.

Yes to all of the above, and to maybe finishing off the US Army range.

Well, the next modern sculpts should be with us early next week and then off to the casters. Some very useful stuff there for people wanting to expand the theaters that they are gaming in. There are more in the pipeline after these too. Unit packs are planned for Christmas.
60's, 70's, 80's and 90's subjects aren't anywhere in the plan for now, and certainly wouldn't be in a 'modern' range if and when we do.
-
Well that's good news Keith. Will there be an announcemnet next week as to what new goodies are available? Unit packs would be nice, I'd probably pull my finger out and order the Brits if they were organised into section packs with the right mix of weapons.
I never really expected any of my list to make it onto a production schedule but I can live with that, there are other ways and some of what I most want is likely to materialise from another quarter. :-)

Woot! Sounds good to me, are they more Brits? Yanks?
