New post in my gaming blog, Dispatches from the Rim, wherein I share my first thoughts on West Wind's "Empire of the Dead."
I'd love for you to sign up to follow my blog. The "join" button is low on the right hand side of the page. Also, if you like the game, there's an excellent Facebook group called The Darkfire Club, of which I am a member.

Well reviewed!

Thanks!

Yeah, I also found it odd that the book includes a page with pictures of the various characters and then doesn't mention them anywhere else, leaving you guessing as to how they fit into the game. :?

I found the pdf of "Gentlemen & Jackanapes" on West Wind's forum about an hour after I posted the review. Still seems a weird choice...

Nice initial review! 8)
You have until 2015 to write the "crunchy details" review. lol
in 2016 I must reduce storage :'( for retirement :) and my (Spanish) VSF/Gothic Horror are the "borderline" genres. :(
After Air War gaming, Fantasy Dwarf, and Historical (Spain, America, American Indian in North America from 1500 AD through 1845) gaming these genres (along with Supers and SF combined arms gaming) are being considered for the "keep" or the "discard" list. Everything else is already expendable.
Gracias,
Glenn

Thanks, Glen! We'll see if we can't keep Gothic Horror on the "retain" list.
