Hello,
did the British Royal Naval landing parties use the canvas webbing , 1903 bandolier or older equipment ?
Did they wear puttees ?
Pat.

What do you mean by "Landing Parties" exactly?
Some pics of the Royal Naval Division in Antwerp:

And the RND in and on the way to the Dardanelles:

And one of an RND chap in an unknown location:

But I suspect by "Landing Parties" you don't mean the RND. I have little on more traditionally-sized landing parties, but...
In the Zeebrugge and Ostend raids in 1918, the bluejacket storming parties were outfitted in khaki Royal Marine Uniforms (they had trouble with the puttees, which kept unravelling and trailing behind them). I don't know what sort of equipment they had other than that, but I suspect they wore helmets.
Finally these photos show an RN landing party at Batoum (Batumi, Georgia) in 1920.

Hello,
very nice photos and illustrations.
Would officers ( Antwerp) have worn their usual navy blue uniform or perhaps khaki ?
Ken.

While the men didn't receive khaki uniforms in time for this campaign (they were bundled off in haste without adequate equipment, though some received khaki greatcoats as protection against the oncoming winter weather), the officers did wear khaki, as you can see in this photo:

In later campaigns the men wore khaki too.
The RND included Royal Marines as well as Jack Tars (they are the chaps in the blue army-cut uniforms and red badges). Their officers looked like this:

Beautiful mini.
Where's he from?

The last figure is not amarine, nor an officer. He is, in fact, a Petty Officer in the Royal Navy Air Service Armoured Car Unit in France 1915. There is a colour plate of him in the Osprey book on British Air Forces 1914-18.

You are of course correct. In my haste to find an example I boobed there. I do apologise. What a twit! :)
It's a 54mm figure from an outfit called Tommy's War.
