The Emerald Guard
(https://dpbfm6h358sh7.cloudfront.net/images/1031045/43561133.jpg)
from Joek Minis, http://www.joekminis.com/store.php#ecwid:category=2242320&mode=category&offset=0&sort=normal (http://www.joekminis.com/store.php#ecwid:category=2242320&mode=category&offset=0&sort=normal).
Yet the price seems... of jewelry level, indeed :'(

Interesting, and with potential, J-L, but that price - ouch, indeed. :(
-
I considered them when I first saw them the other day, then decided I didn't like them. Didn't even notice the price before!
-
I'd like them as household troops for a 40K Rogue Trader if they were a bit cheaper. They somehow have the Rogue Trader future-yet-retro-swashbuckler look to my eyes.

I agree. I'd be tempted for use in Inquisimunda if not for the price.
-
Hmm. Who the hell actually pays that kind of money for miniatures? Even if just to paint?
-
Yeah you have to wonder what the company is thinking?

They're probably thinking that the original Steve Buddle Zo figures were incredibly expensive to buy in the first place, and they need to make some money. But that's $25 for three figures!! Woof, makes my $13.50 for a pack of five seem downright cheap!
-
Yeah and not even Big figuers. I Actually like them too. But I dont like them enough for that cost.

Mixture-of-epochs looks to me like they could be shoehorned into anywhere from Lacepunk to 40K, given a fair amount of player tolerance. Not entirely my cuppa, but I could give some explanation, IF they fell into my lap, painted, for next-to-nothing.
Oh, wait, that's old Star Wars/Mage Knight/et all. figs... lol

Figures for most of the Boutique games come in at around those prices, sometimes they are worth it for the quality of the sculpt or the very limited number of figures you need for a game.
However that said, I think you could get a better result for these with 28mm Franco Prussian War/Spanish American War figures with headswaps.
