Also released are the first of a range of Resistance Fighter Accessories (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/c/4433737/1/resistance-fighter-accessories.html) designed to fit the Resistance Fighter figures. Protect your resistance fighters with  the Helmeted Heads and arm them for the stuggle with the Resistance Fighters Weapons 1.

Long been an admirer of your sculpting and these do not disappoint either.  Very, very nice indeed  :-* :-* :-*

Thanks Svennn. :)

Just realised I'd made a mistake with the Resistance Fighter Accessories discount. Arrrgh!

Turns out the discount didn't apply as a mix and match discount. So now, if you order 2 or more Helmeted Heads, you'll get a 10% discount on those items and if you order 2 or more Weapons 1 sprues, you'll get a 10% discount on those.

Sorry for the confusion- I'm still learning the new shop..

These are brilliant. Very obviously women without all of the ridiculous centerfold posing. I'll be picking these up.

+1 to the above post.  It's nice to see females which aren't wearing spandex and bikini tops, with Dolly Parton-esque breasts.  I love the female form, but for gaming miniatures, most companies go...a little overboard.

And what's more these look like actual women I'd turn round to get a second look of ;)

Great work Andrew, looking forwards to seeing more of them.

Nice sculpt as always, but I think I'll keep waiting for more S.O.E. all the same -- my miniature forces tend to be more into spec ops and mercenary gigs than into dedicated resistance fighting 8)

Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of Lila of the Resistance (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/8462934/sm012-lila-of-the-resistance.html), sniper and weapons specialist!

Measuring approximately 32mm unposed, Lila joins our growing Resistance Fighter range, all featuring interchangeable heads for more variety. Lila can be armed with either a sniper rifle or an S.O.E.-supplied Experimental Energy Cannon.

Lila of the Resistance is priced at £4.75. Purchase two Lila for £4.50 each ; three or more for £4.25 each.

Also starting now, Statuesque Miniatures is running a Sale (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/c/4476307/1/sale-items.html) with 10% OFF all figures, excluding accessories. Use the code LILA2012 to get your discount! This discount is in addition to the quantity discounts we offer across our range. The sale runs until 16th December 2012.

@Sangennaru: I'd love to get more paint jobs done for the shop but alas, it's rather expensive. Anyway, in the mean time, the Platoon Britannica forum (http://platoonbritannica.com/index.php?forums/rae-of-sunshine.52) are running a painting comp for Statuesque until 1st February, so I'm sure there will be some nice eye candy from that! :)

Yup, everything from the Resistance Fighter pack onwards has been done digitally. Thankfully I've had a lot of comments that they're still recognisably my work. Personally, I'm really enjoying the freedom of not working on tiny little details everyday!

I don't remember seeing these before and 32 mm is neither on my shopping list for retirement or really compatible with my true/vintage 25 mm humans but they truly are very excellent sculpts/miniatures.

Simply don't have the money, storage space, or era/genre rules to justify them but if I did....  :-*  8)  :o  8)  :-*

the only difference between 32mm and 28mm is that 32mm is actually 32mm height, when 28 is 4mm higher than what they say. At least in the last 10 years of models.
Of course it regards the non-historical miniatures, eh.

Thanks guys.

Yup, they're not actually as big as they sound compared to other ranges as there aren't actually many ranges that are '28mm'. My figures are around 32mm tall, not to the eyes, as Sangennaru said. Some are tall, leggy super model types in high heels too, but not all of them are.

Sure they're a bit taller than some, but they scale nicely next to most modern sci-fi ranges such as Infinitiy and Sedition Wars. They're also smaller than many figures too, it's hard to keep up sometimes!  lol I just decided it would be disingenuous to call them '28mm scale' since they're not; they're actually 1/56 scale if they're anything.

I'll try and get another comparison photo with the latest figures. :)

What this man said. Outside of historicals, I can't recall the last time 28 mm was actually 28 mm.

no need to be ashamed for advertising excellent sculpts.

So, I do not delve in 28 mm exactitudeness, since it is not a real scale anyway. Please tell, Your girls remind me a bit of some of Reaper Chronoscope range.
To what other ranges would You sort Your sculpts if any?

and I just found the link too

Thanks for the comments folks- much appreciated. :)

I've taken a couple more comparison photos as promised.

L-R: Mantic Corporation, Statuesque, Games Workshop, Statuesque, Dust Tactics Axis, Statuesque

L-R: Sedition Wars Samaritan (plasitc), Statuesque, Infinity Ghulam, Statuesque, Hasslefree, Statuesque

Hope that helps you get your heads around the sizing of the figures. Both the Dust Tactics figure and the Infinity figure are crouching a fair bit more than they appear in the photos, so standing would be a few mm taller. Venko is also wearing some modest heels; she likes to look intimidating! :)

So, I do not delve in 28 mm exactitudeness, since it is not a real scale anyway. Please tell, Your girls remind me a bit of some of Reaper Chronoscope range.
To what other ranges would You sort Your sculpts if any?

I don't really spend too much time comparing my figures to other ranges; ranges vary so much that way would lie madness! However, I try to stay consistent in my range and feel I've hit a nice middle ground that works well with many ranges. I guess the closest would be Infinity, though I don't give my figures quite such big guns!

so from what I see the sculpts are basically combinable with almost anything SF-ish in a post 1990ies style.

As long as you're not too fussy then yup, I'd say so. 'Heroic' or particularly squat, chunky figures may look odd next to them though. It really depends on proportions more than exact height.

Thanks for the comments and orders, folks, much appreciated.

Just a quick note to say that any new orders (after 6pm UK time 17/2) containing SM010 Female Resistance Fighters or the SMS Resistance Cell Deal will not be posted until I have received a restock of the Resistance Fighter figures. I'd hope to be restocked within 5 working days.

All orders currently placed (as of 6pm today UK time) were for figures in stock and will be sent immediately. So basically, if you've made an order already it will be posted tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on how long it takes to pack them all.

Sorry for the inconvenience but the demand for little metal women has been greater than anticipated!

Great sculpting as usual. Still not buying into the cause wholesale tho -- am waiting to see more S.O.E. 8)

The head sprues are somewhat more ubiquitous tho. Might have to get one or three.

These are great!  I was needing some female heads for some conversions and all I could find that I liked we bald ones.  Your heads are very nice and they have hair!

Do you plan on doing any more weapons?   I would love to see your girls some higher tech weaponry!

Thanks. :) The release after next will include an combi assault rifle with integrated grenade launcher very similar to the one pictured HERE. (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5aSk6aAJhcw/UQF__KGr6HI/AAAAAAAAAjk/iTkAxFldQd8/s1600/FO+combi+1s.jpg) That particular design is for the forthcoming Faceless Oppressor range but the Resistance version is largely the same. It will come on a sprue will 2 combi-rifles for the Resistance Fighter figures, a combi-rifle arm for the Officers and a flamer thrower bonus!

Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of Eva of the Resistance (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/8615797/sm015-eva-of-the-resistance---rpg.html), a hero of the struggle against oppression armed with a deadly RPG launcher! Measuring approximately 32mm unposed, Eva joins our Resistance Fighter range (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/c/4421218/1/resistance-fighters.html), all featuring interchangeable heads for more variety.

Until March 31st Eva of the Resistance is priced at the special launch price of £4.50. Purchase two Evas for £4.25 each ; three or more for only £4 each!

(http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/Eva1s_zpsf6e9ad88.jpg) (http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/Eva2s_zps9f82822c.jpg)

Also until March 31st, every order of SM010 Female Resistance Fighters (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/7521689/sm010-female-resistance-fighters.html) will recieve a free SMA003 Weapons 1 sprue (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/7618482/sma003-resistance-fighters--weapons-1.html) and every order of SM014 Resistance Cell Officers (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/8543960/sm014-resistance-cell-officers.html) will recieve a free SMA009 Officers Weapon sprue (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/p/8543982/sma009-resistance-fighters--cell-officer-weapons.html)!

Please note, due to changes in the Royal Mail pricing structure coming on the 2nd of April, I will have to alter our Postage and Packaging prices to coincide with this. I've yet to decide on the future P&P policy but if you want to take advantage of our current flat-rate postage of £2.50 to the UK, £3.00 to Europe and £3.50 to the rest of the world, now is the time to order!

Finally, the Statuesque Miniatures Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/statuesqueminiatures) page recently passed 500 Likes! While 1000 Likes might seem like a long way off, at the current rate we should reach that target soon, triggering the Statuesque Miniatures Social Media Extravaganza Prize Draw (http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/g/1230009/social-media-extravaganza.html)! Regardless, the Statuesque Miniatures Facebook page, along with the Statuesque Miniatures Twitter (http://twitter.com/statuesqueminis) account and my Khorosho Production blog (http://www.khorosho-productions.blogspot.co.uk/),  is a great way to get the latest news and information on what's happening in Statuesque Towers.

I like the range a lot, and as has been stated, they seem fit very well in style with a lot of the Chronoscope series(another favourite line of mine).

Question:
Resistance, E.S.U., opppression... is there a background story to this, or is it merely a loose concept to keep the minis to a theme?  :)

Thanks guys. :)

Question:
Resistance, E.S.U., opppression... is there a background story to this, or is it merely a loose concept to keep the minis to a theme?  :)

I've got a vague back story in my head but it's really just an excuse to cram in as much stuff I like as possible!

The ESU are the Eurasian Socialist Union as every sci-fi setting needs some commies but I didn't want to limit myself to Russians (seems a bit unfair on them to always be the commies too, though of course Russia is still part of the ESU...). The lingua franca is Esperanto, which explains Vespera Venko's name: 'Evening Victory'!  lol

The Resistance operate 'somewhere' in continental Europe. Europe has been carved up into 'Occupied Zones' by the ESU and the New World Federation (every sci-fi setting needs some fascists and again, it seemed unfair to pick on the Germans- sorry America!). Nominally a cold war, the Occupied Zones actually see rather a lot of action. Each Occupied Zone has a Resistance movement so they're basically fighting whoever is oppressing them. Britain is somewhat isolated and insignificant, but spends its time spying and generally sticking its nose in where it's not wanted, hence the SIS, SOE and MI6! I love a bit of spying.

Anyway, it's all rather silly and cliched and not to be taken seriously at all! Think B-movie rather than po-faced serious drama. lol

Thanks for the explanation!  :)

Nothing wrong with cliches - my all-time favourite game setting is the Mutant Chronicles universe that oozes cheasy cliches. It's all about familiarity - the more cords the fluff ring in the audience, the more will feel compelled to actually game the setting.

Wow!!  :-* I have only just "discovered" your fantastic miniatures. I am counting down to pay day ;)

Like your background idea as well, will there be any male oppressors to match in with your fantastic female forms?

On a side note have you sculpted for anyone else, I can see myself wanting to collect your sculpts (sad anal retentive).

Thanks! There are some details on my blog about the forth-coming Faceless Oppressor range and yes, there's will be both male and female figures in that range. The range is still some time off yet, though, lots of work still to do. For the time being, the Resistance fighters will be female only, their men folk having been conscripted or sent to the gulags! http://www.khorosho-productions.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Faceless%20Oppressors (http://www.khorosho-productions.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Faceless%20Oppressors)

Also on the blog is a list of pretty much everything I sculpted prior to going digital. All that's missing from that list is Ezmeralda Tyke the elf and a few unfinished WIPs. It's not a massive list; I was never very productive in putty and clay! :)http://www.khorosho-productions.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/A%20Big%20List%20of%20Everything (http://www.khorosho-productions.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/A%20Big%20List%20of%20Everything)

Thanks! Yup, all those will be coming in due course. There's a sprue of sci-fi rifles with UGLs coming that also has a light flamer thrower included (think a certain movie sequel) though I'd like to do a figure with a heavier flame thrower too.

It find it REALLY, REALLY annoying!! In a time where money is tight, you bring out a range of models I have absolutely no use for, but absolutely LOVE!! Your making it harder and harder for me not to spend money I don't have!!! ;)
Fantastic sculpts!! :o :o :o

Aint that the truth. And I just discovered now this jewel(s) through the LPL. These minis are just amazing. I like the possibility of diversity with the interchangeable heads and hairdos. You might perhaps add an african or asian head to a next sprue  :)

1/56, huh? Great. This makes it simpler to get the according, matching wheels for the Ladies.

These line of minis is noted and you might be receiving an order one of these days.
Thank you much
Jo

“This is Tallulah Caine reporting for KPTV News, from the Occupied Zones.”

Ace TV news reporter Tallulah Caine and her trusty cameraman Carter have been in the Occupied Zones for many months, bringing stories from all sides of the struggle straight into homes around the world. She has reported on vicious fighting, the horrendous conditions for those living in the Occupied Zones and the political machinations of the parties involved. Now, however, she believes she has the scoop that will change her career – and possibly the world - forever...

Statuesque Miniatures (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk) is pleased to announce our latest set of new releases!

First of the new releases is the Resistance Recon Team (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8690842/sm016-resistance-recon-team.html). As will all figures in the Resistance Fighter range (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/c/4421218/1/resistance-fighters.html), these figures feature separate heads allowing you to use any head from the range. Additionally, the accessories they hold in their left hands - a pair of binoculars and a radio handset - can be used on either figure. To top it all off, the weapon arms are also interchangeable and fully compatible with the Cell Officer Weapons Sprue (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8543982/sma009-resistance-fighters--cell-officer-weapons.html) and the Resistance Cell Officers (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8543960/sm014-resistance-cell-officers.html)!

(http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/recon2-3s_zps074f2206.jpg)(http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/recon1-1s_zps47391a62.jpg)

The Resistance Recon Team (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8690842/sm016-resistance-recon-team.html) is priced at £9. Purchase two sets for £8 each and three or more sets for only £7 each! In addition each purchase of the Resistance Recon Team placed up to and including the 31st of July will receive a FREE Cell Officer Weapons Sprue!

Next is the release of Tallulah Caine and her trust cameraman Carter (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8690578/sm017-tallulah-caine-and-carter.html). These figures are something of an update of the news TV news team I sculpted for the Frothers Unite sculpting competition in 2009. They were only available briefly in the winners set and since then I've been asked a number of times what happened to them, so I thought I better finally sculpt some replacements!

(http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/Caineandcarter1s_zpsa871269a.jpg)(http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss125/Khorosho-Productions/caineandcarter3s_zps01a385c8.jpg)

Tallulah Caine and Carter (http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/p/8690578/sm017-tallulah-caine-and-carter.html) are priced at £8.00 for the set and as usual there are discounts for multiple purchases. Head over to the shop to pick up your news team!

Of the five figures that are to be discontinued once current stock has sold, Kitzie Rama is now out of production. Additionally, stock of Inigo Wilde is low and stock of Havana Gray is very low. Head over to the shop to grab them while you can!

That's it for this month, I think. Remember to keep an eye on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/statuesqueminiatures) and Twitter account (https://twitter.com/statuesqueminis) for the latest news from Statuesque Miniatures!

Not the greatest picture (or paint job that they deserve!). Great miniatures and casts....

These are the slightly older head versions.

You did a great job on those, Andy.

The main difference between the new and old Resistance Fighters are the heads and weapons. I gave the faces a bit more expression and changed the beanie hat to a side cap - I found the hat a pain in the ass for removing mould lines and her hairdo wasn't quite as stylish as the other girls! They've also learned a bit of trigger discipline. No more running with their fingers on the trigger...

The new moulds are also much less prone to miscasts. No that that affected customers, as I'd hope I managed to spot any, but it's a lot easier for both me and the casters.

You'll have another order from me in due course Andy. Love the miniatures you do as you well know.

Esquisite imho, some of the best miniature ladies out there and despite you not liking the beanie hats they really make the part for my force. Without them I think I'd struggle to make up the quota for my resistance force.

Thanks, Matt. Beanie hat girl is still available individually, along with the other original castings. :)

Now that I've got the Redux set in stock, I can finally start assembling the force for the Salute game, too.

Nice. A bit of progress on that front from me too this week. I'll post some updates when I'm done with some bits.

Obviously people are more than welcome to come have a look and join in. It should be a good laugh, at least that's the hope! :D

Can't wait to see them put together by you as the creator intended so to speak.
