Nice one. I wanted to scroll down and see the reverse just to see if the fleur was repeated.
-
Yea, that fleur was amazing, great work there! If that is repeated on the back I want to see a shot also! This needs to go on the gallery I talked about!
-
Great work on that model! I've a great affinity for all thing Quebec as I live only 1.5 miles from there.
Keep the pictures coming, I'd love to see more.

Very nicely done Jim; kudos! :)
-
Great job--he's ready for the Contest of Champions!
-
Now THAT is friggin awesome! :o :o
-
:o
That is lovely.
:-*
Great bit of freehand.
Does it continue to the reverse?
-
Take a picture of his backside! I want to see his bum if you detailed the back half of the fleur! OMG I just asked to see a male backside! :o
-
Boo-ya! More Canadian superheroes! Nice work, very nice work.
-
Sorry it's taken so long to get this thread updated, i'm currently having badly-broken leg troubles :(
heres the rear shot.....

and also the 2 latest i've finished. Not my most imaginative paint jobs, a goon as a shield agent and one as a hydra agent...

Yes! We got a shot of his bum! Great work, really...
The two new figs are amazing, great brush work there.
-
Great looking goons!! They look the business. Gritty, yet straight out of a comic book. More pictures please!!
-
Throw in some scenery shots, I like the background....what brand is that?
-
Excellent work. :)
Any chance of a shot of how you painted the Shield badge, please?
-
They're awsome!!!!!!
-
Thanks everyone!
The scenery is from 'fat dragon' i've only assembled one
Building so far, but really like them.
I'll post up more pics once i get more built,
@jollybob, i'm away for a few days but will take a shot of
The shoulder patch when i'm home, should be monday/tuesday
Next week,
@swiss tony, glad you like them, especially as yours will
Be painted the same :-)
Regards
Jim

lol
100% in agreement, though.
Bloody lovely!

I have to ask, did you paint by eye or did you sketch it out on a pencil or lightly with a paint brush first?
-
hi Styx,
i paint it on with slightly thinned black paint, just starting with a simple black 'v' in the middle, then it's really just a series of thin straight lines and a beak.
once the design looks right it gets a second coat to darken it up. any mistakes are then overpainted in white to tidy them up.
hope that helps

It does, I am slowly trying to overtake my fear of freehand work!

Painting eyes is my biggest trouble. Most of my models don't have pupils... :S

I usually do a fair job, then some turn out like Jap Anime characters with large round eyes and huge pupils!

If you want to make eyes easily, try using a Micron pen to put the pupils in instead of a brush. Much easier!
-
Good suggestion. I'll give it a try next time!

I keep hearing this idea but I never get over to the pens to buy them at the hobby store....I hear a .05 or something is good...

That is one great paint job.

Great detailing on the SHIELD Agent and Ram-Jam is excellent.
That Swiss Tony is a lucky boy!
-
I'm very lucky indeed :D
-
Thanks Jim, that logo looks excellent. 8)

FANTASTIC WORK! Just stunning and the first Ram Jam ram headed figure to surface! Get back to painting those lovely PJ's. :)
I love seeing the details you added, that I had never thought of, like the two tone pants. Great details!

Ram jam came out great!
