No doubt it will raise a few eyebrows
-
Will be looking forward to this.
If it is as good as the "Hurt Locker"
it will be very good indeed.
-
Bigelow's a good choice: there's a risk with this subject that it'll be either all gung-ho or all hand-wringing, but she's capable of more subtlety.

I do not know...
considering how fantasy was the Hurt Locker with things that were going from the silly to the plain wrong I am not really looking forward to this one... also I realized that if sillywood is concerned lack of expectations is usually an insurance.

Have to agree, didn't rate hurt locker at all, overatted in my opinion. The kingdom ticks the boxes for me in that genre.
Anyway we'll see what the ex Mrs Cameron comes up with eh?

I quite liked the Hurt Locker. It had its less than credible moments but overall I thought it was well directed and well acted which is more than you can say for most American films these days.

It may have been well acted and directed, but it did not come close to acurately portraying an EOD team.
Hopefully with the alleged access the film crew had to SOCOM this will be better.

SOCOM advisor: you need to do A
Director: B will look better on screen and no one will notice the difference
Wargamer viewer: whaaaaa... < censored >
Anyway I admit that the Hurt locker was better than the usual crop (dumb actors, ugly actress that have gone to the same aesthetic surgeon, remake scripts... at least for the expendables two they have casted a decent girl... but they could have given her more space...), but that is easy as far realism of EOD operations is concerned it failed I have been told. I think hurt locker was like my PhD dissertation draft... attempting too much... finger crossed for the next one... I will not have any expectation so I will not be disappointed!

Kathryn Bigelow has not been married to James Cameron. You're confusing her with Gale-Anne Hurd, the producer.

Yes, she was ;):
Cameron has been married five times: to Sharon Williams (1978–1984), Gale Anne Hurd (1985–1989), director Kathryn Bigelow (1989–1991), and Linda Hamilton (1997–1999)

Can't wait to see the movie.

I stand corrected. He certainly gets around.
