Here's a picture of my first Oldhammer (Warhammer 3rd Edition) Dark Elves. In this nostalgia trip I'm building a Dark Elf (Drow) army that will have the same composition as the Dark Elf Army featured in White Dwarf 144 back in December 1991!

Thanks must go to LAFers Heldrak and gnomehome for assisting me in the recruitment of suitable miniatures! There are more pictures on my Blog: http://theclosetgamer.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/some-painted-oldhammer-dark-elves.html

Excellent work. I do have a soft spot for Dark Elves (esp. when painted so well!). Can't wait to see the army grow.

Get in. 8) Lovely stuff, that Dark Elf army is a constant inspiration to me too.

Looking good.

Very nice! That's a good-looking freehand spider on their shields, too... ;)
-

My own are shamelessly pirated from that same inspirational army as well:

Oh now that's pretty... 8)
So I guess the thing is to paint them as you get them, not wait until you've got all the figures you need then never do it because there's too many now...
Good advice, right there! lol
-
Wow, those are looking super!
Really like the scheme too, it updates them whilst still keeping that old-school charm. 8)

I actually bought a heap of these models very cheaply to use for spare lead in recasting space marine fail cast stuff.
Very nice execution though. :)
