Hi all
Just to let you know that there are a couple of bits on Lard Island News which may assist those starting out with Dux Britanniarum. Firstly there is a piece of players notes which can be found here: http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=1075
That really just chats through the basics of the rules which I hope you'll find useful.
Secondly is a free download of the Force Morale Tracker. There's one for each side so you can easily keep in control of how your force is feeling and, equally importantly, how your opponent's force is holding together. That''s here: http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=1063
I'll be sorting out some more player aids this week as well, so I'll keep you informed.
Cheers

Thanks for the information Rich!
I ordered a copy of Dux Brit from Gripping Beast, but I got impatient and also bought the PDF directly from the Lardies. I am currently printing out the book and cards and hope to get some practice solo games (with LotR proxies!) of my own in this weekend before bringing it all up to the local club in a week or two.
I'll be keeping an eye out for any more tidbits you post.

Mr Black
I have been amazed how many players are using LOTR figures with the rules. A bunch of chaps on our Yahoo Group are (amusingly) working on an unofficial version called "Lard of the Rings" (okay, vaguely amusingly!). They are working up some army lists for the different factions as well.

Sounds great!
I have recently signed up for the Yahoo Group too, and I'll keep an eye out for any mention of LotR or fantasy ideas.
