Paul Romney and Mitt Ryan. A pair of Space Pilots lost on their voyage to fame and intergalactic reknown. Now marooned in a cold and desolate enviroment without the slightest contact to the civilised world.

Will the European Space Force with Intergalactic Hero Carl Blixt be able to save them?!

I went for a 'downed x-wing pilot' look. And I tried to go a new way with skin colours starting out from khaki instead of the usual offerings...  :)

Lovely! And the skin recipe is definitely good!

For what it's worth, I start with a ruddy khaki, shade with a brownish glaze and then gradually highlight up from the base colour by adding more ivory. It produces a more natural skin tone I think. That said, I paint every model's flesh individually on purpose so that I get small differences between each figure - not always noticeable, but I like the like subtle variation and I feel it is more "realistic"!

Thanks mate. Sounds like the basics I employed. As you've undoubtedly noticed my takes aren't identical either. The one on the right got several intermediate layers that I skipped on the left one.

Aha, I thought it was just the contrast against the helmets that was producing that effect (one helmet is effectively black, the other effectively white... Colour behaves differently according to the other colours it is placed with). ;)

Yeah I know what you mean. But, no, in this case it was an actual choice... or rather - an attempt to see if laziness would be obvious.  lol

Very nice! I think I missed to give them a look during the weekend or maybe I was just too drunk to remember.
