That would make a great search-object for a pulp campaign.  'Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Iron Man,' anyone?  Thanks for the post.    :)

I was rather amused by the link on the BBC site which reads 'Nazi Buddha originally from Space' - if I were to be pedantic I'd have to point out it's not actually a Nazi Buddha is it!

There is a book about the 1938 expedition, it's interesting to note one of the bigger "achievements" was the naming of a rare goat after the leader of the exploring group... I like the idea of a pulp campaign though!  :D

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story...although "Nazi Space Buddha ate my hamster" has a good ring to it.

So how many centuries until the swastika (an ancient and honored symbol) isn't only associated with Nazis.  ;)

What a fascinating story. It has all the elements of classic pulp -well it still needs an rogue archaeologist/ex-fighter pilot to save the idol from the evil Nazi menace - But even so...

Love it! Hmmm...should my as yet unstated Pulp games have Nazi Buddhas from Beyond???

At least the BBC site's "headline" got me to read the article! Agreed, it'd make a brilliant Pulp scenario - now where did I put my archaeologist figures?
