Very cool! Love the way you painted the skin.
A really nice mini.

That figure sort of reminds me of Lou Gossett Jr. in enemy Mine.
Nice work on your painting and basing.
Thanks for sharing.

I looked at this and the Narn from Babylon 5 came to mind. Excellent paint job! I am impressed.
-
Yes 'narnish' but way cool love it. :-* :-*
-
That is awesome. Completely different to everyone else the skin tone reminds me of Alien Nation.
-
Love it! Great painting.
-
Beefcake beat me to the Alien Nation reference >:( :D
It looks really good anyway. It really feels "Martian".
Yours truly,
Sir Dryden
-
Beautiful. This is a dangerous thing, because now I am picturing them as Narn, and that may overcome my resolution not to to buy them, as I already have 3 Martian races...
-
:-* Gorgeous!
-
Amazing! This paint job really brings the miniature to life - great effort!! He's a little bit Predator too.
Now if I can just see one with RED frickin' armor!!!!
-
Whoa! That's awesome. The skin pigmentation is amazing!
-
Excellent work! The mottling changes the whole look of the figure. :o
-
Stunning!
-
:o
That is fantastic!
The skin has already been mentioned and its great, it is kind of becoming your trademark, but the patina on that armour takes it to another level.
Superb!
:-* :-* :-*
-
Oh, hell yes!
-
Amazingly done, Sir!
-
Beautiful work :-* :-* :-*
-
Stonking bit of brushwork, top notch colour choices.
-
A repeat of everything said above. :-*
-
Oh my.. that is stunning, absolutely stunning, I love it. ;D
-
Excellent work! A level of detail I don't attain to........but may start thinking about now ;)
-
You lot have stolen all the superlatives!
[effusive praise for that wonderful skin goes here]
-
Thank you for your very kind words. There are some more Martians on the painting table. I hope to finish some of them very soon. Now, we need skiffs!!
Cheers.
-
Love the armour, great color.
Outstanding all the way around.
-
Wow, that totally changes the figure, I'm impressed. Look forward to seeing how the troops come out.
-
Now, wee need skiffs!!
Cheers.
He's in Japan on holiday at the moment. - What a slacker! lol
Normal service will be resumed on his return and the skiff will not be too far away, there is a WIP shot of it on the Red Planet blog.

Ha! I thought of that but didn't say anything because I figured I was the only person who remembered that show. lol

It seems I've not had comment on this thread yet, and with so many others speaking, I must not allow a sense of shock and amazement to keep me from being insightful and pithy. Cogent critique is called for!
Er...
Wow...

Thanks you for your very kind words!! I´m sorry to say that these are the last pictures until I buy some more Martians. I have used a spare weapon to moke a knife and I think I´ll do the same in the future to make swords too.

We have some swords and other blades in the works to allow you to do just that, so no need for conversions. :)
Superb work on these, can we add them to the Red Planet blog?

:-*
Nice group!
-
just love that Family :-*
-
Thanks, now I've got Sister Sledge in my head...
Why do I have dread of a bad YouTube coming out of this?
Artifact of the camera position, of course, but for a sec, in the first piccie, the knife almost looked like it had a hypodermic opening instead of a double blade. Bit of a double take, that.
Oh, yes. Before I forget...
Wow...
