Here are my first rampaging Visigoths.
This is a project I've been planning, revisioning and abandoning for years. It started out as a warband of 1st century Frisians but evolved into a Migration Era Visigoth army. The hard core will be all Copplestone figs: Foundry Germans and Grenadier fantasy barbarians. Based on historical Goths but with a strong nordic myth and sagas influence.
I'm painting them to be used also as Saxons, Ostrogoths or even Rohirrim.
Hope you like it!
(please note these aren't finished painting and the photo quality is quite crap)

Quite a good start, looks promising! That little fellow on the second pic, second from left, is that a Greandier dwarf? He doesn't look wrong there at all, a great idea!

Haagen the smith obviously ;)

Thanks! The dwarf is indeed a Grenadier model. One of the last character models and the only dwarf Copplestone did before they closed (it has a round integral base). It was an absolute must to include him in the army. :)

Looking good. One doesn't see very many goths, although oddly I'm working on a unit, tonight...
