Ryan and I managed to get in 4 games today, we had a few errors that we will work on for the next batch but so far...I also learned a great deal to add to the content of playing Strange Aeons now as I move from theory to actual game play.
Ryan: 2 Threshold Wins
Patrick: 1 Threshold Win, 1 Loss
I lost an Agent, Ryan lost a Civilian so far. I was the only one to find one map peice, now I am debating going for one of the harder missions or taking on a specialist.
Here are some shots of our teams...hit up my blog for more game details!

Ryan's Team (hey is that Hitler in the background leading the team?)

Nice looking groups styx!
I demand bat reps with lots of photos NOW! ;D
-
Actually, I just poped over to your blog and saw that you have posted bat reps with lots of pics! Fun read!
-
Nice work, styx!
:-*
They do look better with paint on them.
;)
Will check out the AAR's on your blog later.
-
Thanks, maybe later I will write something to match the games...love a little fluff to the game.
I hope to take more pics the next round of gaming.
-
Poor...Poor Billy....He got destroyed by a horrible ghost and yes for some reason my character does look like Hitler.
-
At least you lost a civilian!
Thanks for the pics, I may upload them in another post as bonus pics!
-
That's not Hitler that's Charlie Chaplin :D
-
We really like the Doomsday Device mission, and for 1 Map Piece it's a "steal".
I even sculpted a device, complete with timer, just for it. Try that one on for size instead of a Specialist...they're wankers!
-
Question about Specialist, they stay for a D3+1 games. Do they have to be the next 2-4 games I play or can I use them when I see fit. So if I know I am going against a single big bad monster, I might want a demolitions expert, but if I only have a martial artist, I might want to save him for a cult scenario.

I think they are all in a row. Unless I am wrong.

I am with styx on that one.
All consecutive is the way we use them.
As for Special Agents being:
wankers!
I think you may feel differently when your character gets a Major Injury and you could have had a Medic!
;)

LOL, that's why I call them wankers! I had a great list, I was cruising along well, and then disaster.
My Medic got sniped by my wife's Cult Leader with an Elephant Gun, Critical hit and all. Then, like a true sport she headshotted my bloody character and ended that list.
What a jerk! :)

Posted up the second round of gaming on the blog. I need to finish posting the bonus pictures Ryan took (been a lazy weekend). :o

I wouldn't be too critical of a wife that's willing to wargame with you. lol

I enjoyed reading those reports, styx.
Some fun points in there with a juggernaught of a Mummy (sounds familiar!) and misplaced dynamite being two of the highlights.

Dynamite is not the answer to everything, my friend.
Most things, just not all of them!
Ask smokezombie.... lol

Well, at least until I can get some better D6+3 or higher weapons.... lol
-
Your dynamite character was very effective, he just got killed too. But since Civies are so cheap and expendable, dynamite might be the key for them.
-
And Styx is now officially credited with uncovering a new class of Threshold operative: The Suicide Civilian.

I think Legionnaire Bert has beaten him to that one.
He has managed to kill plenty without the use of dynamite!
Sorry, Bert!

Ah, but I kill them with style and with a BANG!
