Hi all,
Just a couple of WIP pictures of my recent figures. They need to be based, and are both Empress Miniatures.
The first figure is from the Defenders of Rorkes Drift pack and the second is an officer from the 24th Regiment.
I will be updating my blog pretty soon with some more figures and I have a few Zulus currently undercoated on my painting table.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures but they were taken on my mobile.
Cheers
Andy

Very nice work! I like you're style of painting alot.
-
Great work. It has given me the inspiration to start painting my lead mountain.
-
I'm not sure if painting of this quality inspires me to get the lead mountain painted, or just give up and start stamp collecting or some other hobby that requires no artistic talent whatsoever!
-
Some really nice work…I hope there is more!
-
Beautiful!
:-*
Please show us some more.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all of your kind comments.

Don't be downhearted SJ Walker, sometimes my figures come out crap and sometimes they look ok. Normally if I dont have an interest in the period the figures come out pants!!!
I still think my standard of painting takes me far to long to paint lots of figures, so its a good job I'm more of a painter than a gamer, although I would like to play at least one game with my Zulu War figures!!! I wish I could compromise on detail and just paint up a quick unit, but I guess I'm a control freak :?
In the collection, I have two units of 20 men each including officers and NCOs fully completed and based, along with a unit of 15 Colonial Cavalry headed up by Lt Col Durnford. I have a 7lb gun and crew, which has already been posted elsewhere on this site, and a number of Rorkes Drift defernders and various HQ elements. And 3 Zulus, just to test the paint scheme.
I'll post some group shots early next week.
Thanks again guys
Andy
