Title: Battlefield clutter
Post by: scotty on October 28, 2012, 02:13:34 PM
For my FIW games I've decided that I need some more clutter and due to the cold weather, decided to stay in and put a few pieces together.

There are more pictures of my progress on my blog http://scottyswargaming.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/fiw-extras.html
cheers

Nice work. It's the small details like this that bring a gaming table to life. (Not to mention some welcome cover.  :D)

Always like clutter, nice stuff.  But I have to ask about your color choice for the trade goods.  Wood that color of grey takes several years in the weather and I don't think trade goods (or their containers as portrayed here) would last long enough to achieve that 'patina'.  Do you have some evidence that they were this color while in transit?  If so, I'd be interested to know about it.  Of course, if you are using museum or old fort displays that are out in the weather, that might have been what led you in that direction.  Curious to here your reply.
