We've spent some time trying out the brass etch kits available from Forge World, a great way to enhance the look of your minis.

We took lots of photos of the brass etch pieces in use on different kits, plus came up with some useful hints and tips which you can see here:

Are you guys already using Forge World brass etch to enhance your 40k models? How do you find working with them? Would you reccomend them to others?

Be nice to see pics of what you've actually done on the forum rather than just a pic of a pack mate? :? Appreciate it's there in your blog but whet the whistle a little please?

What Vyper said. It's a thin line between contributing and simply fishing for blog hits. Having done both, I've found that a good basic guideline is that you should provide enough information on the forum to not force the readers to click on your blog. Otherwise you can easily come across as simply an advertiser - which would be a shame since I really dig your blog and am a regular subscriber :) So rather than simply posting a picture of the pack, add some more pictures, give a summary of the post's content and then point the reader to the blog if they're interested in reading more.

Every single one of your posts is the same "I've reviewed blah-blah, come look at my blog!".
It's a pity, because I know you have cool stuff to share, and yet you seem to treat LAF as a source of traffic instead of a place to share your hobby with others. If everybody on here did that, there'd be little point to LAF as anything other than a blog hub. :?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your advice!
It is a difficult line to tread, as like some of you mentioned I have a large blog with a lot of useful resources for wargamers on, and so I do want people to come and see it, but also I don't want to annoy anyone with my regular posts.
Posting the majority of the content of an article on the forum would mean that there is not much point me having a site, which would be a shame as its something I enjoy working on.
I'm passionate about the hobby, and want to share the content of my site with others, but obviously don't want that to come across as your average spammer.
Thanks for the kind words some of you had about the site, I'll have a think about the best way forward with this, and if you have any more thoughts, please let me know. :)
