Title: Newish Eureka 28mm moderns - US, Afghan, civilians
Post by: cdm on November 09, 2012, 10:21:41 PM
I received a parcel from Eureka this week with some moderately recent releases. I did a quick scout through the latest topics to see if anyone has previewed them yet. If they are reposts, I do apologise. The figures are a beautiful creations as we expect from the previous releases in this series. Due to the complex shapes around arms, there is some light flat flash infill between arms and bodies in a couple instances, none of which are an issue to clean out. Moderns are not my thing, I avoid them as have family serving, you'll have to forgive my ignorance of items and describing them.

The US MAW? team has a separate M16 for the firer fitting to a small hole near his back belt, and a separate tube (ammo canister?) to the top of his pack. The LMG in action set is impressive, both figures are separate to the base, so can be laid on a vehicle or other terrain easy enough. The LMG has a separate bipod.

Of the 3 Afghan snipers, the right hand one is a Black Guard sniper.

Civilian set which didn't photograph so well. Behind the standing figures is a cloth rack strung between two posts. All items are one piece castings, except the left hand mat in the seated photo, it is bare on top and there are a heap of shop clutter to be placed on it. All figures are neat and tidy, and look the part. I probably should re photo them sometime to do more justice.

 lol

I'm liking them! All would have a lot of uses thats for sure. Those contractors would be pretty sweet for all sorts of operations, and given the weapons they're carrying I'm guessing you could use them as U.S special forces too?

Thanks for the info and photos, I mainly get my Eureka from Ian at Fighting 15s so there's always a slight delay in getting the new stuff over here.  8)
